It had been a few weeks since the whole arresting of Ari and Sammy. We were taking some time off of doing another round of drop offs, letting everything cool down. We had a new group coming in of tourists, so I was sitting behind the desk getting the old guests checked out and getting ready to check in new guests. I was rubbing my leg when Ari and Jake walked in after loading up the guests that were there.

"Hey, you want to get some lunch, take a break?" Ari asked me and I nodded. Jake came and took over behind the desk, but Ari helped me stand up and then handed me my crutches.

"God, Jo, that's not getting any better." Ari said seeing my leg was swollen again.

"I've just been doing too much Ari, it's fine." I said and he sighed.

"How about I take you to the bedroom, you prop up the leg and I bring food into you?" Ari asked and I nodded knowing I was in a lot of pain. We started walking and he finally sighed.

"Come on." He said and scooped me up and I giggled as he did.

"You have to let me walk on the crutches." I said and he shook his head.

"No way wifey." Ari said in a sarcastic tone, and I laughed.

"Best hubby ever." I said in the same tone. As we were about to walk into the bedroom, Sammy came out of his and saw us.

"You okay?" Sammy asked and I just looked at Ari. "Oh, come on! I'm concerned! You think I haven't noticed your leg recently?" Sammy asked and Ari sighed.

"It's still swollen, and she is in a lot of pain even though she won't admit it." Ari said and Sammy said.

"Can you let me look at it please?" Sammy asked and I groaned knowing he was the only doctor around. I just nodded as Sammy helped and opened mine and Ari's bedroom door and we walked in. Ari laid me on the bed. Sammy gently touched my leg, and I winced in pain.

"Sammy?" Ari asked once he was done looking at it and he sighed.

"It doesn't look good. You have been doing a lot on the leg and working too much. The inflammation has gotten worse and is affecting the whole leg now." Sammy said and I sighed.

"So, what, I'm on bedrest now?" I asked and Sammy nodded.

"Yes, bedrest. You need to try and get the inflammation and swelling down." Sammy said.

"And if it doesn't go down?" I asked and Sammy sighed.

"We can cross the bridge when we come to it." Sammy said and I looked at Ari.

"Does that mean...?" I asked and Sammy sighed.

"I can't say yes or no. If it's yes, then we have to send you home on the next trip because you will need more medical care than you can get here." Sammy said and I shook my head.

"No! I'm not leaving! I need to see this through!" I said annoyed.

"And you also need to be healthy and keep your leg!" Sammy said back annoyed, and I just looked at him.

"Keep my leg...?" I questioned.

"Jordan, it could be an infection on the inside that I can't see. I won't lie, the conditions you had when you were shot and having to do your own surgery in not so clean conditions could be part of the problem. Something festering after all of this time. Things happen and if it gets bad enough without medical attention, correct medical attention you could lose the leg." Sammy said and I knew he wouldn't lie to me. We may not have been getting along now but he was being a doctor and being honest. I looked at Ari.

"I don't want to leave..." I said and Ari sighed.

"We will talk about it when it comes to it okay?" Ari asked and I nodded. He leaned down and kissed my forehead. "Let me go get us lunch." Ari said and I nodded as he and Sammy left the room.

***ARI POV***

Sammy and I left the bedroom and I shut the door. We walked down the hallway a little bit and I stopped him.

"There is really nothing you can do?" I asked and Sammy sighed.

"Ari, her leg is twice the size it should be, it's red and hot to the touch by the scar and the slightest touch causes her pain. If this is some sort of infection and gets in her bloodstream, that puts her life on the line." Sammy said and I hung my head.

"I only want her safe." I said.

"I know you do, and I only want the same, I know the whole team does. We all cant gang up on her though and make her leave. She is only going to leave if you make her." Sammy said. I just looked at him.

"Me?"

"Yes you, Ari. She loves you, I know what she looks like when she loves someone, and she loves you. She will do things for the people she loves. You need to convince her to go back and go home. Get the medical treatment she needs. Her life and health are just as important as everything else we all are doing." Sammy explained and I groaned but knew he was right.

"I'll talk to her tonight." I said and Sammy nodded. We walked into the dining area, and I started getting food and everything together for Jo and I. As I was getting her plate ready Nettie came up to me.

"Ari...?" She asked and I looked at her.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Is Miss Jo going home?" Nettie asked and I sighed.

"I don't know Nettie, she is going to be on bedrest for the next couple of days to see what happens." I said and Nettie sighed.

"I just want her better." Nettie said and I placed a hand on her shoulder and gave her a small smile.

"Me too." I said and she smiled. I finished getting the plates ready and headed back to the room. When I walked in, I heard her sniffling.

***NORMAL POV***

Once Ari and Sammy left the room, I knew there was a chance I would have to go home before this was over. I didn't want to leave Ari, I knew how things could go a rye and I didn't want to worry about him while I was at home, and he was here. I felt my eyes fill with tears and they quickly started falling.

I found love after Sammy, and I wanted a life with Ari. Would we have a life if I went home and left him here? Would he be willing to go with me? I heard the bedroom door open, and I sniffled trying to wipe the tears away. Ari walked in and saw me crying.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Ari asked walking up to bed and crawling in with me after putting the plates on his bedside table.

"If I have to go home...would you be willing to go with me?" I asked and Ari sighed.

"Jo..." Ari trailed off.

"Okay...I get it, mission isn't done."

"It's not that Jo...I mean maybe it is, but you know how important the mission is. And honestly nothing says a few days of rest won't do you good and you will be back to your normal self in no time." Ari said and I just half smiled giving a small nod. He leaned in giving me a passionate kiss.

"Let's not think about the bad, only the good. Good right now being I brought us some lunch and we are going to spend all day in here together." Ari said and I smiled as he handed me my plate of food. As I ate, I couldn't help but feel a pain in my heart knowing Ari wouldn't go home with me but yet when we thought he was getting sent home I was willing to go with him.
