It had been a month and a half of me being home and my leg was healed and I was sitting at my desk in Ethan's office working on some paperwork about the missions. Since I was there, I was head in his office about the ins and outs of everything that would be needed to complete the mission. We were waiting to hear the radio transmission, it was a night of a pick-up. Ethan was going to let me stay to hear how it went.
"Jordan, my office." Ethan called and I sighed knowing it was happening. I walked in and he was standing there with a walkie in his hand, and I looked at him oddly.
"You have a call. The mission hasn't started but you are on a secure frequency." Ethan said and I smiled. I walked over and grabbed it from him.
"Keep it brief but say what you need to say." Ethan said and I nodded. He walked out of his office and shut the door. I took a deep breath and the hit the button to talk.
"Home base to yacht one." I called out.
"Oh god, Jo. It's so good to hear your voice." Ari said and I smiled as my eyes filled with tears hearing his.
"Same goes for you. How are you? You guys, okay?" I asked.
"We're all good. Missing you like crazy. How's the leg?" Ari asked.
"All better. I had bone fragments that were festering." I said.
"Well good thing you got it taken care of." Ari said.
"Yeah, good thing." I said.
"Okay I can tell you're mad at me..." Ari trailed off.
"Yeah, I'm mad at you! I was under the assumption that if either of us got sent home we would go with the other one. Ari, I'm here, wearing your ring, without you! Why didn't you come with me?" I asked.
"I couldn't Jo...the mission."
"Mission over man Ari? How is that far?" I asked.
"It's not Jordan and I understand that. I do love you and I do want a future with you. I want to marry you Jo, but I want to ask you correctly. I want to meet your family, ask your father for permission and just marry you, Jo. I'm sorry I didn't come home with you but I'm not sorry I sent you. If I hadn't sent you home, you wouldn't be alive right now and I refused to lose you." Ari said and I sighed and just hung my head for a minute.
"Damnit Levinson you make it hard to be mad at you." I said.
"Listen we are getting ready to go. Are you listening to the mission?" Ari asked.
"Yeah...I'm working with Ethan now." I said.
"Okay well knowing you are here helps." Ari said and I smiled. The door opened and Ethan came walking in.
"Jo..." He said and I nodded as other guys came walking in.
"Ari, I have to go, we are all here to listen to the mission." I said.
"I love you." Ari said and my face instantly felt hot.
"I love you too and please be safe." I said and turned the radio back to the normal frequency.

"Seal team to base, all assets are acquired and on our way to the boats." The Seal said and I let out a sigh of relief. Everyone started to walk out and I held back. Ethan nodded and walked out.
"Home base to yacht one..."
I waited for a response. I didn't get one.
"Home base to yacht one..." I repeated.
"Jordan?! Oh god you're alive!" Max said and I laughed.
"I don't know if you all are listening, but good mission and I need you all to hurry up and get your asses home." I said.
"Yes ma'am." Ari said and I sighed.
"I love you guys. I'm going home now to get some sleep." I said.
"Sweet dreams my love." Ari said and I turned off the CB radio. I went to my desk to get my stuff, said good night to Ethan.
"Good night, Jordan." Ethan said. I made it to my car and just started crying. Being away from Ari, being away from the mission and just knowing he and the rest of the team were still in danger was killing me.

***3 MONTHS LATER***
I was sitting at my desk when I saw someone go walking into Ethan's office and close the door. He had tons of files with him, and I got annoyed that Ethan seemed to call some form of a meeting without me. I just waited to see if he would come and get me. When they seemed to be talking and going over files. I walked to Ethan's secretary.
"Who is Ethan in with?" I asked.
"Someone about the smuggling ring." She said and I groaned. I started to storm into Ethan's office.
"You can't go in there!" She called after me and I got to the door and walked in. Ethan and the man stopped talking. They both looked at me.
"Ah this must be Dove Thomas...or should I say Jordan Scofield." He said and I sighed.
"So, you know me and my alias. In fact, you know my recent alias." I said and he nodded. I then looked at Ethan. "Is Ari in trouble? The team?" I asked panicked and he shook his head.
"No, I assure you Miss Scofield the team is fine for now." The man said.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" I asked.
"Oh right, where are my manners...I'm Walter Bowmen. I work in the U.S. embassy in Khartoum." He said extending his hand. I shook it apprehensively.
"And what exactly are you here for?" I asked.
"Well, I'm here to try and get your team out of there." Walter said.
