***NORMAL POV***

I was sitting in my room at the resort looking at the one picture I had of me and the old crew from my mission. I often did this, relived everything in my head of what we went through and how many people we actually got out. I sighed rubbing the scar on my leg, the reminder of the horrible night everything went wrong when I had to be the hero. Now walking with a permanent small limp from nicking a nerve when I did my own surgery. There was a knock on my room door, and I set the picture down. I got up and walked to answer it to find Nettie standing there.

"Lunch is ready if you want to eat." She said and I smiled.

"No, I think I'm okay." I said and she sighed.

"Jo, you need to eat something." Nettie said and I half nodded.

"I know and I will. I'm just not hungry right now..." I said.

"Thinking about Sammy again?" She asked and I huffed a laugh.

"The whole team really. I mean I thought someone would have come back to check out the damage. To know if anyone lived or died. If I lived or died. I mean hell I know I was shot but to not even check?" I asked as I walked out of my room and walked with Nettie to the dining area. I looked around and saw Arthur and Theo sitting, laughing, eating. This was my family now, this was my life like it had been for 6 months.

"Maybe they tried, maybe they couldn't get back." Nettie said.

"Sammy would have found a way. The only thing I can think of is my family. My sister, my father. Who told them I was gone? How did they tell them? There is just a lot to consider." I said sitting at the table.

"Okay answer me this...if Sammy was to walk through the front door of the diving resort right now...what would you do?" Arthur asked and I shrugged as Nettie gave me a plate of food. I had told her I wasn't eating but she was forcing me to eat knowing if it was dished out I wouldn't waste it.

"Punch him in the face." I said and everyone laughed.

"You wouldn't kiss him?" Nettie asked and I shook my head.

"No, he wasn't supposed to leave me. I get going and getting to safety, but the fucker could have come back." I said. We then started to eat in silence, I didn't want to think about it anymore. I had no way to get home. The terrorist were still very much present. We were able to stay hidden from them here. They would make stops, but we would hide in the bucker we had built closer to the resort.

As we were eating, I heard something off in the distance and I rushed to the window and looked out. I could see the clouds of smoke from trucks pulling up.

"We have visitors! Get to the bunker." I said.

"What about you?!"

"I won't make it with the limp. I can hide here. Just go! I will let you know when it's safe." I said. Nettie hesitated but then gave me a quick hug as her, Theo and Arthur ran. I looked at the table full of food knowing I had no time to get rid of all of it. I did what I could and took it all to the kitchen. I then rushed out to the back of the resort. I needed to be able to see who was here and what they were looking for.

I saw a guy with longer brown hair, a blonde woman, and a couple other guys get out of the trucks that pulled up. They didn't look like the normal terrorist that came here but this could be a cover. I didn't know what to do. I looked and saw where the bunker was, and I sighed knowing it was close but too far. I needed to just wait these people out. Maybe they got turned around, maybe they were lost or maybe they were here working for the wrong side and finally came to find us, the ones who were left.

"Hey guys, there's fresh food here in the kitchen!" I heard the girl yell and I sighed.

"Fuck." I grumbled.

"How fresh?" Another voice called out.

"Like just cooked fresh, someone is here." She said. I looked and saw the path I could take was clear. I walked around the building ducking under the windows. Once I got to the main window I peaked in and was in shock at what I saw. I fell down and sat on the sand.

"You have got to be shitting me..." I whispered to myself thinking about how I wanted to play this whole thing. I knew it wouldn't be easy but it had to be done. I got up and walked to the main door of the resort and walked in.

"Can I help all of you since you just deiced to walk through my place?" I asked. Everyone came walking in, one person in particular...he looked like he was looking at a ghost.

"Jordan?" Sammy said.

"Sammy." I said annoyed.

"I thought you died!"

"Nope, just left for dead! You never even fucking came back!" I said walking up to him and shoved him. He noticed my limp.

"I'm here now aren't I?!" Sammy asked and I huffed a laugh.

"6 fucking months later! I have been here for 6 fucking months!" I yelled.

I walked away from Sammy and started walking outside.

"Where are you going?!" Sammy asked. I noticed everyone he was with just watching us. I just continued walking. "Jo?!" Sammy yelled and I ignored him. I made it to the bunker and pounded on the hatch. It opened and I was looking at Nettie, Theo and Arthur.

"Come on up, it's safe." I said and they climbed up the ladder. Nettie saw Sammy he looked in shock.

"Who else is there?"

"Just us. What are you doing here? Who are they?!" I asked pointing to the people who followed Sammy when he followed me.

"Let's go inside...we should talk." Sammy said.
