(Answer to Linda Lewis' "Not a Little Girl Anymore")
Not a little boy anymore,
He's grown up and tall.
The days of childhood are gone,
His spirit rises like a phoenix, and flies.
He's walked the path of his life,
Seen the seasons come and go.
In the depths of his heart,
A fire still burns bright.
The world around him shimmers,
Everything is new and bright.
The winds of change are blowing,
The future calls him forth.
With each step he takes,
The past moves further away.
He is ready for new things,
To face whatever comes his way.
Not a little boy anymore,
But a man with a heart full of fire.
He'll journey on with courage,
And with his dreams as his guide.
