For my dad, always there,
With his wisdom and his care.
A gentle giant, strong and tall,
With a heart that's big and never small.
He worked so hard to give us all,
A life that's happy, never dull.
And when we stumbled, he was there,
Helping us up with love to spare.
He taught us values, right from wrong,
And gave us strength to carry on,
No matter what life threw our way,
He taught us to fight another day.
For my dad, I'll always be,
Grateful for his love for me,
For all the times he lent a hand,
For all the ways he understands.
And now that I am grown and old,
My love for him will never fold,
For my dad, my heart will always sing,
Of all the joy and love he brings.
