Can't go back to the days of old,
When life seemed simpler, or so we're told.
We've wandered far from those paths we knew,
And now we search for something new.
The past is gone, it slips away,
And every moment becomes today.
We cannot change the things we've done,
But we can steer the course we're on.
The future's waiting, vast and bright,
A beacon shining through the night.
We take a step, then another still,
Walking forward, up the hill.
We leave behind the things we knew,
And embrace the new world coming through.
We cannot go back, but forward bound,
And in that future, a new world's found.
So let us live, and let us learn,
And let our hearts with hope burn.
For though we can't go back in time,
Ahead of us is a new path to find.
