One less bell to answer, one less heart to break,
One less tear to cry, for another heartache.
The silence that fills the air, is deafeningly loud,
The echoes of our love, now all wrapped in a shroud.
As I sit here all alone, thinking about what went wrong,
I can't help but wonder, why our love couldn't be strong?
But now it's all in the past, and I have to move on,
Towards a new beginning, where a new love can be born.
One less bell to answer, one less cross to bear,
One less love to mourn, but still, I can't help but care.
The memories we shared, will always be with me,
And though they bring tears to my eyes, they'll also set me free.
For I know deep down inside that I deserve much more,
A love that's true and lasting, that'll leave me needing nothing more.
So, here's to a new day, and a new love to find,
Where one less bell to answer, will be one more heart to bind.
