Don't ask my neighbor,
For they do not know,
The love that we shared,
The highs and the lows.
They may see us often,
Passing by with a smile,
But they cannot fathom,
The depth of our trials.
Don't ask my neighbor,
For they cannot tell,
The stories of our laughter,
And the tears that fell.
In our own world we existed,
A love that was so true,
And though we may have parted,
Our memories still renew.
Don't ask my neighbor,
For they cannot know,
The pain that we felt,
As we let each other go.
But despite our farewell,
Our love still endures,
In the depths of our hearts,
Forevermore.
