In which a series of
stressful events take
place during her break-________________________-
-- [Chapter 34 - Interlude] --
They say that time is an invariable third party in relationship. You were all too accustomed to this fact, having destroyed entire friendships due to the timing being slightly off. Just another month, a little further into the future, where all your problems had been sorted. If only that state was permanent, then relationships wouldn't be as iffy as they were. When Aizawa and Fukukado told the two of you about their history, you didn't expect time to play such an important role, even though you'd had your fair share of heartbreak yourself. In fact, if anything, their story gave you little hope.
"Long story short, we dated for a long fucking time," Aizawa sighed.
He'd dragged the three of you off to a bar, drink in hand as he pushed his way through his high school memories.
"We were five friends back then, Hizashi, Emi, Kayama, me and another friend," Aizawa listed. "I transferred to their class in the second year of high school, thanks to my parents' business migrating. Things were fine in the beginning, we all got along, these guys were the only thing to brighten up my day for the longest time. But if grade six physics taught me one thing, it's the fact that each light has its shadow. Our shadow just happened to be directly proportional to the light."
