Jirou had leaned in to kiss you, only for some idiot to slam the door open, causing both of you to jump apart in shock.
"Denki?!" Both of you groaned simultaeneously.
Had you known it was just him, you would've leaned in and closed the gap. You wouldn't have bothered to move away because of him, not when Jirou was finally forgiving you. The two of you were making progress in your friendship after what seemed like years of feuding, finally moving ahead.
"Happy New Year's," Kaminari slurred, giggling. "I love Toshi so much."
"Denki you're drunk," you groaned, steadying him. "And he's your ex."
"Sorry about him," a tired voice yawned behind him.
A broad figure, one which you hadn't seen in more than a month. He was clearly exhausted, but wore a lovesick grin as he leaned against the doorframe, drink in hand.
