-- [Chapter 59 - Three Strikes: Part 3] --
- Kaminari's POV -
Monday morning had no one in a good mood.
After all, one of the most empathetic teachers in the entirety of Yuuei had died, and that too by giving up a lung for their resident tennis champion. You'd called up your father, wanting him to know that he was responsible for the current state of affairs, yet refused to let Kaminari into your room.
Surely, he was more than just a little responsible for this? While he wasn't the one who put the illness in you, he certainly hadn't made in any better, especially after all the drama in October. But even when it came to your father, you weren't simmering with rage or anything, you seemed... defeated. He'd never seen you like that, and part of him wondered if it was his fault that you were in this less than ideal state.
"I'm going to get coffee," he announced, abruptly standing up.
He couldn't bother to listen to you rant about your father and how he had to pay for this mess, when according to Shinso, his actions were no better than the old man's. At least this way, he wouldn't need to hide any tears if you weren't around him to begin with. To make matters worse, Shinso refused to even speak to him unless it was for your sake.
