It seemed as if hours had passed before Jirou showed up, sliding the door to your hospital room open.
"How is she?" Kaminari asked immediately.
"Alive and stable," Jirou sighed, evidently relieved. "She's asking for you, Coach. Don't make me regret leaving the two of you alone."
Fukukado nodded before scurrying into the room, shutting the door behind her. There you were, laying in the bed. The sight of you hooked up to numerous machines was gut wrenching, something she'd avoided seeing ever since that fated day in January.
More than two months since you'd spoken to each other, and here you were.
"I'm so sorry," Fukukado choked out. "I.... I can't explain myself but-"
"You don't have to," you mumbled. "I won't lie, it hurt as hell, but I know where you're coming from. I probably was the same after my brother died."
"But that was justified hatred towards your father," she reminded. "I lashed out at you for no true reason. It wasn't your fault she.... that she...... you know...?"
