A lady with long mint hair crossed out another day in her wall calendar, getting ready for a long day ahead. She was still in her pajamas, although she'd woken up surprisingly early. Her best friend of seventeen years and partner of little over ten years lay in bed, still snoring, long indigo hair framing her face.

Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes at the thought of the future.

Her name was Fukukado Emi, and her partner was none other than her upperclassmen, Kayama Nemuri. She sighed and leaned down to press a kiss to her sleeping beauty's forehead, before heading into the kitchen to cook breakfast for the two of them. 

The silence in the kitchen quickly got overbearing, so Fukukado decided to turn on the radio while she cooked, only to regret it seconds later. It was quite common that many got severely ill in the harsh winters of Japan, with many even dying in the area before developed medicine. Of course, due to this, it was a popular practice to spend the majority of the winter speaking about health.
