37 - The Challenges We Face

The days went by slowly, and before long, it was the first of November. A week had passed since you'd blocked Kaminari's number, and you continued to avoid everyone except Bakugou, Kirishima, Hatsume and Kendo. The four of them were the only ones who were somewhat neutral, allowing you to be alone whenever you needed to. As the days passed, you spoke with Shinso more often too, with him planning to come over in two weeks to visit you again.

Of course, with you only attending classes, tennis, and mandatory meetings, people barely saw you around anymore. This was a great result, as you didn't unnecessarily run into any of your housemates. 

Or so one would hope.

Running from room to room between classes left you vulnerable for a few minutes, during which you were susceptible to whispers floating around, jeers, and questions. You'd gotten used to it pretty quickly, so it surprised you when the sneering whispers turned into curious ones instead. Choosing to ignore it, you walked past, head in the clouds as you tumbled deep into your own thoughts.
