In which disaster strikes
in intervals of three, each
one of which she dreads
more than the last:

TWs: heavily implied depression, verbal abuse, reference to past abuse, undermining someone's life value ("life would be better if you weren't born" type beat)

- Jirou's POV -

Truth be told, Jirou wished she wasn't the one in the room. She wished she didn't have to be the one to speak to your father. She wished you hadn't broken down and told her everything. Why? Well, Jirou Kyoka already had enough secrets of her own, she didn't know how to handle this extra load as well. And to think that Bakugou, who'd known you far longer, didn't even know this only increased the gravity of the situation. She sighed to herself as she fidgeted with your fingers, waiting for you to finally wake up. Though, Jirou didn't know how long it would be until you did.

It is said that patients in a coma or in chemically induced sleep would only wake up if they wanted to. She hoped that was the case with you, although upon waking up you'd have so much to deal with. Professor Kayama's funeral, possibly more disagreements with Kaminari, and never being the same with Coach Fukukado. These were things that you would usually distract yourself from by compulsively playing tennis, but you were on a forced break from that as well.
