Raine's POV:

Everything was dimly lit, these hallways have haunted me for 16 long years.
Why did I try to make things better? Now I'm caught, Eda thinks I'm in the conformatorium... or dead! Mipha... Titan what am I gonna do about her? If Belos kills me... Mipha will have no guardian. She can't live with Eda full time, Darius and Eber... maybe they'd care for her.

The guards threw me into the throne room, letting me groan as I crashed to the ground, still bound by the ropes.

"Raine Whispers, what a pity" Belos boomed, standing and walking to me. I'm still not used to him not wearing his mask.
"Belos..."
"Let's cut to the chase, who are your companions? I'd love to speak to them about your little troop of... oh what was it- "Bards Against the Throne"? Such a clever name, might I say" he leaned down to me, smirking before using magic to remove the ropes, offering his hand to me. I hesitantly took it, letting him pull me up.

"So, how about the names of your friends?"
"I don't know them" I lied, keeping eye contact. He hummed, obviously not believing me.

"We wore masks and had code names for a reason- we knew what we were getting into" I boasted, crossing my arms and smirking. Darius says I'm a horrible actor, time to prove him wrong.

"A pity, I would've loved to speak to them" he sighed, before looking me up and down.

"It's also a shame how you broke our deal, your services for the protection of your.... daughter" my eyes widened, remembering that deal.
"Don't you dare hurt her!" I snarled, Belos restraining me again.

"Oh I won't" he smirked, his eyes glowing a menacing blue.

"Steve, you can bring her in now" Steve nodded, hesitating before the door opened, Mipha being thrown into the room.

"But you certainly will. So long as the blood won't be in my hands I see no issue in disposing of the parasite" he shrugged, Mipha groaning and trying to stand. Belos shot his arm out, slamming her against the wall and making chains appear, binding her to the wall- strung up like some puppet.

Puppet...

Wait... this isn't how this went.
Where's Terra and her tea?

"N-Nini? What's going on?" she cried, her voice breaking my heart as tears pricked my eyes.
"I won't hurt her!" I shouted, turning to Belos as he laughed.

"Oh sweet naive little Raine Whispers... you don't have a choice" he laughed before he turned into green sludge and shot at me. I felt the substance rush into my nose and mouth, forcing me to cough and gag, trying to reject the entry before I fell down, hearing Mipha screaming and pleading for me to be spared.
I could feel him under my skin, taking control before my eyes began to burn and ache, my control lost as I was now forced to watch as Belos made my body stand up and walk towards my crying daughter.

"Goodbye, Parasite" I heard my voice say before Belos formed claws on my hand and thrust them into Mipha's stomach, hearing her scream in pain as her blood spilled onto my hands.

Stop... Stop don't do this! Not my daughter! Not my Mipha!
