I apologise for the very long wait, I have not forgotten this book, and refuse to abandon it. I've just been going through a lot medically. I've been in hospitals a lot lately, and on top of that I've been driving a school bus, so my days are busy, which is good for income purposes, I am in FAR less debt than I was in August haha.

Things in this book will be dark for a bit, but I promise, sunshine is coming for Hunter and Mipha.

Mipha's POV:

"Hunter?!" I shrieked as Aunt Lily gasped, turning into her harpy form, ready to take off.
"We gotta catch up to him!" She crowed as I stood in shock for a moment.
"Wait! You get elixer's, and get mom while you're at it! He seems upset, he must've heard what I said about the recent pace of events... this is my fault, I'll catch up to him and try to back him into a corner" Aunt Lily looked at me for a minute, Hooty staring at me with tears in his eyes before Aunt Lily exhaled slowly, calming herself.

"Alright, I trust you. Just be careful... I'd never forgive myself if something were to befall you, Little Zora" she kissed my forehead.
"I'll come with you! Hoot Hoot!" Hooty cheered as I shook my head, turning my body into water- shocking the two in front of me as I hadn't told them I had managed to gain full control over my magic again since my surgery those years ago.

"Thanks Hooty, but I got this covered" I smiled, before splashing onto the ground and rapidly flowing through the archives, splitting myself into puddles to cover more ground. Doing this, it felt like I was meditating in a dark, calm room. Watching different screens before transfering myself to one or another "window" to take control of my body and reform.
I kept searching, before finally seeing Hunter, he was angry, growling and destroying an empty section of shelves, luckily no books were here, probably a concious choice he managed to make in this form.

I fully reformed myself, startling him as he screamed, making all the shelves shake and threaten to fall. I flinched, before taking a deep, shaking breath and looking back at Hunter, who had backed into a corner and was standing off like a frightened cat, his back arched and his ears pointing down, looking ready to pounce at any moment if I dared make a sudden move. I moved slowly, starting to grow closer and slowly reaching a hand forward to him. He growled, scowling at me and lifting a paw, ready to attack me and scratch whatever got too close. I stopped my approach, taking another long and slow breath, watching him copy me absentmindedly.

"Hunter... I'm sorry I didn't communicate with you what I was feeling... I'm not sure I knew what I felt until I was talking to Aunt Lily about it... but that's no excuse..." I spoke softly, his ears twitching and tail jerking side to side sharply.

"I don't regret a thing, I meant what I said when I said I'd marry you. I still very much want to marry you. But it seems both of us need to work on communicating... You're changing over more and more recently... the elixer's aren't working as much... are they...?" He stared at me, before huffing out his nose, blasting dust around us, myself being quick to fan it away from my face.

He began to whimper and whine, swiping his tail back and forth and tucking his wings on his back, pawing at his head, as if trying to rid himself of his fur and feathers.

"Hey- Hey it's gonna be ok, we're gonna figure it out. I promised you I'd never leave you, and I meant that. I'm not leaving, I'm here to help you! You just have to..." I paused, stalking forward slowly before placing my hand on his forehead, feeling him begin to purr.
"Let me help you" I finished, breathing out and smiling as he pushed against my hand, chittering and purring at my touch before he yelped, jumping to the side and into the shelf, falling and revealing a dart in his shoulder.
