I know very little about baseball, so bare with me, this is gonna be a mess.
Also after this chapter, we're gonna start doing some yearly time skips till we get to the show's epilogue. But don't worry! The story won't stop once we get to the shows ending scene!
I've got more planned.
Getting to the planned things is the hard part.

Writing filler isn't my strong suit.

Here we go!

Hunter's POV:

I ran through the portal, Waffles flying next to me before I slowed down enough to let her hide in my shirt, before I began sprinting towards the ball park.
I was so late!

Mipha was actually on a baseball team here in Gravesfield, after we played it when we got stuck here, Mipha fell in love. She uses it to help with her emotional control. She's great at it to! She does her best to not use her magic, but hey- if she thinks the other team isn't being fair, she moves the ball wherever she wants it to in order to get the upper hand.
Today was the semi-finals, if they win, they're gonna go into the city to play against the other team who wins their semi-finals. With Mipha on the team, the Gravesfield Ghosts are garunteed to win the championships!

She's most known for getting home runs. I'm so proud of her.

However since Waffles turned off my alarm clock- I'm LATE!
I've missed half the game by now!
I'm wearing her old jersey, it's too big for her since at the time it was the only sized jersey they could give her, but she got a new one, and gave me this one so I could wear it to the games and cheer her on.
Knowing Raine and Eda, they're front and center in the crowd for the best view.
Despite Gravesfield being a small town, the sports turnout is pretty big. Most of the town comes to these.

I finally got to the game, seeing Mipha on third base, waiting for the opposing team to hit the ball. I found Eda and Raine, sitting with them and beginning to watch the game.
The guy batting got 2 strikes, before they hit the ball and started running. He managed to slip passed first base as one of the others got the ball and was about to toss it to second base before they threw it to Mipha. She caught it, seeing the teen start running back to second, but failing as Mipha threw the ball to second and got the guy out.

"YEAH!! THAT'S MY GIRL!!" I yelled, Raine and Eda screaming some encouragement as Mipha saw me and started smiling ear to ear, giving me a full armed wave as her team and the rival team came to their bunkers to change sides.
I ran over, holding onto the fence as Mipha ran over, poking my nose through the fence.

"I thought you wouldn't make it!" She pouted, making me snicker.
"Waffles turned my alarm off" I rolled my eyes as Waffles poked her head through my collar.

"Waffles! Hide!" I laughed as Celeste tried to poke her head out of Mipha's ponytail, only for Mipha to gently shove her head back in.
"You two can play later! Once I win this" She smirked, looking back to me and giving me a gentle smile.

"This teams been playing dirty... they keep trying to call fouls and trying to get us in trouble for things that don't matter... these guys are desperate to beat us at all costs" she grumbled, making me look over.

"Hmm... Waffles, why don't you keep an eye on those guys, let me know if they plan on doing something bad in order to win" Waffles nodded, trying to be stealthy to make it look like a blue jay didn't just appear from my shirt... despite that being exactly what happened.

No one has to know.
They're all going crazy for all they know.
What's a Blue Jay?
I certainly don't know.

She flew off and perched above the opposing team before the coach started talking.
