‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Room twenty-four woke up to a surprise, to say the least.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎It was Seraphina who woke first. Seraphina, who found Y/N on the floor, arms folded, and head tilted against her bed's frame. Then Aurora, who nearly hit Y/N's head with her foot as she kicked her feet out of bed. Not long after, Seraphina woke Sophie, who grumbled at first — then smiled wickedly as she spotted the bushy-haired girl covered in Y/N's sheets.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"What's she doing here?"

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"That's Hermione, right? Hermione Granger."

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"Yeah, it is!"

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Y/N's face scrunched up as she met the three faces looking down at her. She furrowed her eyebrows, placing a hand on her forehead. A soft groan escaped her as she sat up on the floor, the ache from her back shooting up to her neck.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"Why are you on the floor?" Sophie asked.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Y/N looked around the room for a moment before her eyes landed on Hermione, still asleep beneath Y/N's sheets. "She needed the bed."

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Aurora looked from Hermione to Y/N and then down at the floor. "So you slept sitting up?"

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Y/N rubbed the side of her neck and winced when she tried to turn it. "What do you think?"

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Aurora crouched down beside Y/N, her expression becoming more concerned as she noticed the way Y/N was holding her neck. "Can you even move properly?"

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"I can." Y/N turned her head toward Aurora. She immediately regretted it.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎A sharp ache ran down the side of her neck and across her shoulder, and she stopped halfway through the movement with her face twisting.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Aurora raised an eyebrow. "Wow. Real convincing, Y/N/N."

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"Shut up."

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Sophie started grinning. "You know, if you'd just asked one of us to move over, you could've had a proper place to sleep."

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Y/N ignored her and pushed herself to her feet. Her knees were stiff from staying in the same position for hours, and she had to steady herself against the bed frame before she could properly straighten up. The movement finally caught Hermione's attention.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎The girl shifted beneath the blankets, her hair spreading across the pillow in every direction. She made a quiet noise, turned onto her side, and pulled the blanket closer around herself without opening her eyes.
