The next morning, they both woke up at 5am. It was way to early for Izzy's morning routine, so she snuggled closer to Burak. He shifted in his sleep then woke up, due to his alarm going off.
"Hmm... Is it that time again?" he asked in a deep, sleepy voice.
"Yes, it's 5, but please let me cuddle with you a bit longer" she whispered.
The room was still dark from the thick curtains blocking out the sunlight. He kissed the top of her head and held her tighter.

Usually, Burak was very strict with his routine, as he liked to workout before going in to the office. Being consistent had kept him on top of his game, but waking up to Izzy was a bit of a change for him. In his mind, he hesitated about whether to get up or sleep in. He wasn't one for change, but hearing Izzy's plea, he immediately melted to her request.
"If I'm going to sleep in, I need a reward" he said, as he nuzzled his face in her hair.
"Burak! Sleep! It's good for you!" she mocked.
Izzy felt a bit embarrassed about initiating things and also didn't have much experience of dating.
"What? You the one with the dirty mind! I meant breakfast, but clearly you want something else!" he teased.
His fingers trailed down her sides till he found a spot he could tickle her on. Her laughter filled the bedroom as she wormed and wiggled herself against him. The tears of laughter were evident by her crying plea to stop. As she caught her breath from all the laughter, she rolled ontop of Burak. She scanned his face in the dim light room. Even the silhouette of him looked dangerously handsome, she trailed her fingers over his gently on the side of his face. He grabbed her hand and softly kissed the palm of her hand.
"I want to do more of this with you" he whispered.
She smiled brightly, then planted a kiss on his cheek. Burak was so warm and his embraces made you feel safe in his arms.

He kissed her on the nose and then rested his head back on the pillows. Closing his eyes with a grin on his face, he had never felt so loved in his life. It was a strange feeling that really did make him feel like the ice around his heart was melting. Not realizing that he was so comfortable that he fell asleep briefly, but when he opened his eyes again he was alone in the bed. Feeling groggy and confused where Izzy was, he sat up to get out of bed. Noises from the kitchen could be heard, as he opened the door. There she was already dressed, making him a Turkish breakfast.
"What are you doing? Why didn't you wake me up? I could have helped you"
"No need, I looked up online Turkish breakfast recipes, so I hope they taste good. I wanted you to get extra rest, since you have been working alot"
He didn't even care for the dishes, he was just so happy for the effort she put into it. Burak grabbed Izzy's waist from behind as she placed the olives on the table.
"Where have you been all my life? Waking up like this could really spoil me" he joked as he kissed her neck.
"Hey! Behave! Time for work" she teased as she hit his hand with the cloth.
They both laughed then sat down to have breakfast together. Burak loved putting his favourite combinations on his fork to feed Izzy. It made him happy to see how much she enjoyed food. Their little love bubble was ruined, when Burak's phone started ringing.
"Evet?" he said annoyed at the interruption.
Then he started speaking hastily in Turkish, downed his Turkish tea then walked back to the room to finish the call. Izzy still sat at the table, disturbed too by the interruption. They were bonding so well, but then reality kicked in. She got up and cleared the table, then did the dishes before getting done for work. When she finally came back out of her room to leave for work, Burak had already dashed out. Feeling bummed by the ending of their great morning, she got a text from him.

You really know how to make a good morning. Sorry, I had to rush out for a meeting. Thankyou for breakfast.
See you later xoxoxo

Her smile reappeared briefly and she knew it was a step in the right direction. As Burak compromised and changed a few things for her, she should do the same for him. Thinking of more ways to spice up their relationship, for the first time in a long time she felt excited again to take on various challenges. Izzy knew change took time and that even a small step in the right direction was progress.

Less doubts and put in more work into us. Change is not always a bad thing she thought.
