Burak was getting drunk at a bar, when he suddenly had the urge to find out the truth in person. Knowing that his parents and schedule would not allow him to head back to South Africa now, he thought if he went to buy his ticket at the airport right now they would have less opportunities trying to stop him. Checking if he had the necessary documents on him, he was pissed at himself when he realized his passport was at home. He couldn't ask Yildez to get it, as it would definitely let warning signs go off that he was up to something. Feeling restless and unimpressed by all the beautiful women offering to keep him company at the bar, he left.
Letting Yildez know he was out front, he waited for his car then got in. Resting on the backseat, he felt even more annoyed that the alcohol didn't even help his mood.
"Sir, are you okay?" Yildez asked concerned.
He sighed heavily and then asked Yildez what should he do after the last two calls with Izzy turned out like this.
"Sir, no offense, but you are in the wrong regarding the last call..."
"Go on.." Burak said.
"Miss Izzy clearly was already upset with you regarding Miss Aydin repeatedly answering your personal phone. Although you cleared it up with Miss Daisy, you have not clearly explained to Miss Izzy the situations that caused her to answer your phone. Thus, leading to an even bigger misunderstanding between the two of you. When she was drunk with Mr Serkan, it is obvious that she still had you on her mind, that is why she called you regardless of the state she was in. You were the person on her mind , even if she was with another man. It says alot about her character and also that she is devoted to you. However, you do not trust Mr Serkan and sent someone to check up on things there. Her report back was what she witnessed, but you said you wanted the check up done discreetly. You almost admitted it to Miss Izzy that you sent someone over by accusing her straightforwardly. Also, instead of paving the way to build up to that question you asked her bluntly, disregarding the fact that you have not cleared up the misunderstanding between the two of you nor did you check if she was fine. From Miss Izzy's point of view, I would feel wronged too and feel even more estranged from you sir..."
"Yildez Bey, since when do you talk so much?" Burak asked sarcastically.
"Sorry sir.."
"No, no.. you are right! I messed up.." Burak admitted.
"Sir, the private investigator said he found some things on Mr Serkan and would meet with us tomorrow"
Burak felt torn , as he was curious to know what they found on Serkan, but he had planned to give everyone a slip away tomorrow and return secretly to South Africa. Taking what Yildez Bey said into consideration , he thought he should rather stick it out a bit and get enough dirt on Serkan before he returned. In the meantime, he would also need to find a way to sort out things with Izzy, but how , he had no idea yet.
"Tamam (ok) , we can meet him tomorrow afternoon" Burak told Yildez.
"Yes, sir. I'll arrange accordingly"
Back at the lodge, Izzy was hiding out in her room all day. Forcing herself to work on other things, she barely noticed how time flew and that it was evening already. Thinking of this morning's call with Burak still pissed her off, but also hurt her deeply. She had alot of pent up anger and remembered that the lodge had a newly built gym. Izzy was not really one for the gym, as it made her feel awkward working out in a public setting. Usually she would opt to do Pilates by herself at home from an online instructor when she had the time. This time she thought she knew no one there and should feel less awkward. Changing into whatever she had close to gym wear, she headed out.
When she arrived at the gym, she was quite impressed by the amenities, as it included a sauna and the spa was opposite the gym. There were not alot of people at this time and she enjoyed a run on the treadmill. Thinking that she should try out the sauna before she headed back to her room, she changed into the towels provided and walked in. Taking deep breaths and calming her mind she thought of everything going on. It had been her father's surgery day and she had been texting Daisy all day to get updates. The surgery took over two hours, but was successful. After her father was transferred back to his room, Daisy told her that she would update her only tomorrow as they were heading home for rest. Izzy tried clearing her mind of all her worries to just fully detox from it.
"Izzy?," a friendly voiced was heard, as someone entered the sauna.
She opened her eyes and thought who would possibly know her here. To her surprise it was Dr Fletcher, but the bigger surprise was just him in a towel that hung from his hips. She wasn't sure if it was the heat from the sauna or her blushing as she examined his well built body. Shaking her thoughts away, she felt it was inappropriate to see her doctor in just a towel.
"Uhm.. Hi Dr Fletcher" she said shyly.
"Please! I told you before to call me Kyle" he smiled sweetly.
Izzy nodded and then held the top of her towel even tighter. He noticed her uncomfortable behaviour and gave a small laugh.
"Clearly my presence makes you feel uncomfortable" he teased.
"No, no.. I just wasn't expecting you"
"Yeah, I was not expecting you too. I'm here for the weekend seminar event, I came to replace Dr Jones" he explained.
" Ahh, I'm here to stand in for my boss Rachel. Our company is handling the logistics and organizing details of the event"
"What a coincidence that we are both here to replace someone. Guess fate wanted us to meet" he said cheerfully.
Izzy put up a fake smile, as she was so anxious about sharing the sauna with Dr Fletcher that she was overheating. Trying to think of ways to excuse herself politely without making him feel uncomfortable, she didn't realize how long she had been in there and started feeling light headed.
"I should go.. " she said as she stumbled to her feet.
Dr Fletcher noticed she seemed a bit unstable on her feet and rushed to her side.
"Are you okay?" he asked concerned.
"So, so hot... , " was all she could mutter before she passed out in his arms.
He carried her out of the sauna and to the infirmary area. Helping her come to her senses, he tried to stimulate her further by asking some basic questions.
"Izzy are you alone here? Is there anyone I can call for you?.." he asked politely.
"No, I am okay.." she said a bit breathless.
"Do you have a partner that can come over to take care of you tonight?"
"No...it ended..." she mumbled.
Dr Fletcher was not sure what she meant, but he hoped it was what he had been waiting to ask her. He had felt a strong attraction to her since the day he found her on the beach. It seemed inappropriate to ask her straightforwardly especially since she was the patient, under his care. After her discharge, he hoped to see her in a social setting to ask, but sensed she still felt a bit shy towards him. Tonight, hearing her mumble those words, he was sure that if she ended her relationship he could offer her a beautiful new world where she would always be happy.
"Burak...end, " she mumbled softly, but it was not clear enough for Dr Fletcher to understand what she said.
