Burak was sitting in the office broody all morning thinking about Izzy. Having not being able to sleep properly or focus, he took his temper out on the staff.
"Burak Bey..I am in no position to say this, but you need to control your mood" Yildez Bey said cautiously.
He glared up at Yildez from his desk, as he angrily flipped through the documents.
"I'm sorry sir, it's just the staff talk and ofcourse some of them are always ready to use this to inform your parents. I know you are upset about Izzy Hanim , but please watch your temper"
Unfortunately he knew that Yildez was right and that people would use this as a way to call him unprofessional, but he felt so irritated by being stuck here.
"I get where you are coming from Yildez Bey... I will try to remember it. This thing with Izzy is driving me on edge! Where is my mobile? Have you retrieved it?"
"That is why I came to see you sir, but was interrupted by the staff's chattering about your behavior that I had to warn you first. Miss Aydin was not available when I arrived and they did not allow me to even enter to speak to anyone else. They said Miss Aydin wants to give it back to you personally tonight" Yildez said carefully, as he knew Burak would lose his temper hearing this.
"Offff! " he slammed the file shut in front of him in rage.
"This woman is really playing a game with me. I despise woman like this the most! They always find a hidden agenda to see you or they create problems because they lonely or bored or whatever they are!" he rambled on.
"She sent the address of the restaurant to meet her at tonight, I'll leave it here on your desk"
Burak nodded then massaged his temples at the headache this whole situation was giving him. Yildez exited the room gracefully, knowing if he stayed any longer he might be the one getting Burak's temper. His mood was also influenced by the fact that neither Izzy nor Daisy was answering his calls, making him extra anxious. Trying his luck again, he called Daisy to hear if there is any update.
"Hello?" Daisy answered.
"Finally! I have been trying to get hold of you"
"Ahh..Burak.." she trailed off.
"You don't sound pleased to hear that it's me.. Did something happen to Izzy??" he started to panic.
"No..let me just step out for a moment to speak better"
Burak sat in suspense on the line as he heard her closing a door and walking somewhere.
"Okay, I can talk now"
"What's going on? Why isn't Izzy accepting my calls? Is she still resting or did something happen?"
"Uhm... she's really okay! No need to worry about her health wise, but..."
"But what??! Just tell me!"
"Are you seeing anyone back in Turkiye? I'll just ask you upfront about it"
"Me? No! Why would you ask or think that?"
"So, the other evening when you were having dinner with a client and lost your phone ... Was it really a client you met?"
Burak was hesitant whether to tell the truth, because he didn't want Izzy to get the wrong idea or misunderstand.
"Y-yes.. why do you ask?" he asked flustered.
Daisy could pick up from his reply that there was some parts missing to that truth. She wasn't sure whether to expose him by telling him about the call Izzy had with his rumored fiance or just let him come out with things when his ready. Not wanting to completely interfere she decided to keep the call incident from Burak.
