The next morning Izzy woke up and got ready for work, when her phone rang. When she saw it was the recovery center's number, her stomach was in knots as she answered.

"I'll be right over!!" she replied after hearing the news.

Hurriedly she got dressed , ran downstairs , grab one slice of toast from Mrs Peters breakfast she had prepared for her and explained that she needed to go to the recovery center immediately. When she arrived, she was pleasantly surprised to find Kyle waiting outside her father's room.

"Why are you here?" she asked.

"I heard the news and wanted to come over to check if you needed anything"

Izzy was so touched at his gesture, as she knew he had a busy schedule and making time selflessly to come support her , had her in awe.

"Let's go inside!" she said with a bright smile, as she grabbed Kyle by the arm.

It felt as if a huge weight was off of their shoulders, as Izzy saw her father awake, smiling at her mother and Daisy by his side. When his eyes met Izzy's it shone bright like a star and she ran over to her father's bedside in tears.

"You silly little girl, why are you crying?" her father asked as he wiped away her tears.

"Yo-you're fin-nally awake!!" she said through tears and hugged her father.

They couldn't believe their eyes and kept touching him to make sure it's real.

"Sorry, I didn't catch your name?" Izzy's father said to Kyle who had been standing in the doorway.

"Sorry, sorry! It's my fault! I left you by the door because I was too excited to see my father" Izzy admitted shyly.

"No,no! This is a family moment and I'm intruding" Kyle said.

"Nonsense! Come over here" Izzy's mother said.

Kyle came to stand alongside Izzy's mother by the front of the bed.

"This is Dr Fletcher, his been such a great help to our family and a good friend to Izzy" her mother explained.

"Dr Fletcher thank you for caring for my family when I couldn't" Izzy's father said.

"No, no sir! I honestly didn't do much" Kyle said shyly.

"Soooo modest Dr Fletcher" Daisy teased.

"No really " he said shyly.

"Well, Dr Fletcher...Unfortunately , I have to expose you" Daisy said.

Everyone looked at Daisy and then at Kyle, not sure what was going on. Kyle, himself felt a bit confused about what she was talking about.

"What are you talking about?" Izzy asked Daisy.

"You see after Dr Fletcher's visit last time, I saw him frown discreetly when looking at Dad's IV drip dosage and his medical charts. He then didn't say a word, but still seemed bothered. After you guys left I heard that the doctor in charge of dad will change with immediate effect and then the new doctor came in, outraged by dad's medication he was on and then ordered the nurses to change it" Daisy explained.

"So you're saying....?" Izzy tried to figure it out.

"Then I heard the nurses gossip by the break room when I went to get dad some fresh towels. They were saying how some nurses and doctors were bribed at the center, also were giving wrong medication to patients. Then I had to ask them about what they were talking about and then they told me the story and also how Dr Fletcher was the one who reported them" Daisy said chuffed with her explanation.

Everyone looked over at Kyle and he felt so embarrassed to admit it. Izzy's mother hugged him tightly continuously thanking him, her father also took his hand to thank him. Daisy looked at Izzy who seemed to be lost in admiration at what Kyle did, she elbowed Izzy.

"Are you not going to thank our hero?" Daisy teased Izzy.

Kyle looked at Izzy, trying to ask her to make them stop thanking him as he felt embarrassed, but Izzy couldn't stop gazing at him with a shy grin and flushed cheeks.

"When I get discharged you definitely have to come home with us for dinner, son" her father said.

Daisy started giggling at her father calling Kyle "son" and teased Izzy even more.

It was like deja vu for Izzy and Kyle, as both their parents really seemed to be pushing hidden agendas. As they continued chatting and laughing up a storm, it was getting closer to the time to take Daisy to the airport. Everyone was grateful to Kyle for accompanying them to the airport and ensuring Izzy didn't drive back alone. After a million hugs and kisses from Daisy to her parents, the three finally left to the airport. Kyle parked the car while he let Daisy and Izzy go check in so long.

"So what do you think?" Daisy asked Izzy as they walked arm in arm.

"Think what about?" Izzy asked lost.

"Kyle, you silly girl!"

"Why are you asking me that?" Izzy asked shyly.

"Because his a great guy and it's very obvious that he is into you. I know your wounds from Burak is probably far from healed, but I like seeing your smile return these days thanks to Kyle"

"We're honestly just friends..." Izzy said.

"I know, but think about it after the dust settles... Your first great love does not have to be the guy you have to marry. Also, your Prince Charming kind of turned into a ugly toad (referring to Burak)" Daisy mocked.

"Hey!" Izzy said joining in on the joke.

"This one might be the real deal" she nudged Izzy.

Daisy's words made Izzy think in that moment, as she looked at Kyle who was coming on behind them on a call , but giving her a bright smile when he saw her. She couldn't disagree that lately he had been her safe place and also the person she had shared laughter and tears with. When she realized what she was thinking, she quickly stopped herself. Shaking those thoughts out of her head, feeling that it was too soon and fresh for her to move on from her failed relationship with Burak. Even the horrible call Burak gave her the other night, she didn't dare mention to anyone, as she felt so embarrassed and hurt by his harsh words. That night she silently cried herself to sleep in bed, trying to make her heartache stop. The next morning her eyes and face were so puffy from crying, but when Kyle saw her, he pretended he didn't notice it. Instead he made her a care pack filled with tasty treats and also a comfortable new sleepwear set, that he placed at her bedroom door with a note saying: Cheer up :)

The things Kyle did for her , she could not deny that they had an effect on her, but for now she wasn't ready for a new relationship. After saying their goodbyes, Daisy boarded her flight. Kyle suggested they have dinner at the airport, so they can watch Daisy's plane leave. Izzy tried to refuse, as she said it would be a waste of money due to the parking and restaurants charging extra out of convenience. Kyle was stubborn and they ended up having dinner at a restaurant on the airport. Daisy sent laughing faces via text, after Izzy took a picture of her and Kyle in the restaurant, explaining he wanted to wait till her flight left. Even after Daisy's flight left, they were so immersed in their conversations about life and things they had in common they barely noticed the time. Getting the bill and walking back to the parking lot, Izzy's laughter filled the way, as Kyle kept telling her about embarrassing things that had happened to him.

Enjoying each other's company so much, they didn't even notice they were being followed. As they got into the car and drove away, Emma finally stopped lurking and came out.

"Still having good times little sis? Left the one rich guy, now on to the next! While I suffer and run around to get money... Time to pay the pied piper.." she said with an evil grin on her face.
