Serkan came back and grabbed a beer, bummed at how his evening turned out. Relaxing on the sofa he thinks back at his meet up with Emma and the plans she has for Izzy.
"Serkan I badly need money now! So I don't care what means you have, but make Izzy disappear. Then we arrange for ransom from Burak. After that you can do whatever you want with her, I don't mind. If you don't have the guts to do it then I will do it myself!"
Her words rang loudly on repeat in his head, he tried to stop thinking about it, but he couldn't turn it off.
"Flip Serkan! Why did you get involved with Emma?! She has ulterior motives for her sister and they seem more dangerous than what you had in mind. How are you going to do this? You already agreed and if you don't do it then Izzy might be in real danger. Oha!!!"
Still not feeling relaxed, he grabbed his laptop and tried to look at places where he could keep Izzy safe from Emma. Flicking through his contact list, he recalled the number of the local men he could hire to help him out, but felt hesitant to call them.
"Don't worry Izzy, I'll make sure you are safe even if Burak suffers!" Serkan mumbled to himself.
Back in Turkiye, Burak was pacing the penthouse upset about not being able to contact Izzy. His hand kept scrolling to her name and number, but he remembered what Daisy said and closed his phone. It was in this moment he realized how little self control he has when it came to Izzy, but also how anxious she must have felt being with him due to his busy schedule and then still the distance in between. Burak knew that if he was in Izzy's shoes he would be upset too and also feel insecure regarding the relationship, but how could he make it up to her.
His phone suddenly rang and he jumped up anxiously hoping it was Izzy calling him. The disappointment when he saw it was his mother, as he knew she was going to spoil his mood further.
"Yes mother, how can I help you?"
"Is this how you greet your mother?! You lost your manners being with that foreign woman."
Burak bit his tongue, as he knew if he snapped back now it would be something far from polite, especially because his mother was trying to rile him up intentionally.
"What do you want mother?" he tried to sound polite through gritted teeth.
"Come home for dinner tomorrow night"
"Mother, I have alot of work and don't feel like driving all the way there after a long day" he tried to get himself out of it.
"Don't use that excuse with me! If you don't come home, I'll let your father leave you with no work then you will be jobless!" she threatened.
He knew his mother could be unreasonable at times and arguing with her would just turn into an all night battle. Thinking how childish her threat was especially because of the important projects he was in the midst of, made him already mentally exhausted to see her.
"Tamam!(okay)" he said trying to please her.
"I'm glad you came to your senses. Don't be late , I'll ask Yildez to remind you"
"Tamam..(okay)" Burak lagged off, tired from the call.
"See you tomorrow evening!"
Before Burak could say goodbye, she hung up on him already. Looking at his phone in his hand, he felt in a daze just thinking of how unpleasant these last few days have been and now he had to dine with his parents, he knew dinners were always a cover up for something they want to discuss.
The next day, Burak had meetings throughout the day. It was so busy that he barely had time to spare a minute to think or miss Izzy. As he wrapped up his last meeting, he felt worn out from the day.
