"Sir, this is Kaya Bey the private investigator" Yildez introduced to Burak.

"Merhaba Kaya Bey (Hello Mr Kaya)" Burak shook his hand.

They sat down and Mr Kaya took out an envelope from his jacket pocket, Burak stared at him intently waiting to hear the feedback.

"Burak Bey, how well do you know the family of the place you usually go for coffee?"

Burak, look puzzled by the question and was not sure how to answer. Mr Kaya handed him the envelope, he opened it nervously.

"Serkan Bey is the son of the owner. Their family was quite poor and struggled alot financially as Serkan grew up. He was often bullied at school for being from a poor family. In general he is quite smart, so he usually entered schools via a scholarship. Obviously the kids of the elites attended those schools and realized he was not born into privilege like them. I believe he was a year younger than you Burak Bey, as you were a senior, when he came as a junior from another school" Mr Kaya explained.

"We attended the same school??' Burak asked surprised.

"Evet (Yes)"

"There wasn't much information I could find on him from his teenage to adult years, it's a grey area. However, he received a scholarship from your family's company to study abroad"

"My family's company?? Yildez is this true?"

"Yes sir, I checked it out after Kaya Bey indicated it to me. Here are the details of the scholarship"

Yildez handed Burak documents showing the exact details of Serkan's sponsorship from the company, his relocation logistics and the added financial benefits he received.

"Wait, wait.. Why is this sponsorship way more than the usual and all these benefits?" Burak questioned.

"That unfortunately sir I cannot tell you. It seems like most of the things that were done for Serkan Bey's sponsorship was handled directly by your parents, so there is no paper trail to find out more" Yildez explained.

"There is another thing I found out, but not sure if it is of any help Burak Bey" Mr Kaya stated.

"Tell me"

"The woman who was raising Serkan is not his biological mother. Their relationship seems fine on the surface, but not sure about now. After Serkan went to study abroad, he barely came back home. He would send money when his stepmother requested, but other than that not that much contact. Currently, she has been persuading him to return so that he can be set up for marriage. He was supposed to be back in the country by now, but he changed his itinerary last minute  and ended up in South Africa" Kaya finished.

Burak slammed all the documents on the table, he thought of Serkan being around Izzy and it made him furious.

"Thank you Kaya Bey. If I do need more from you, Yildez will give you a call"

Kaya Bey nodded and then swiftly got up and exited.

"Sir, what do you plan to do now with the information?" Yildez asked.

"Hmm.. for now not much I can do with it. Lucky bastard! This saves him some more time to spend there. Let Kaya keep an eye on his stepmother for now, also let's see if we can find an internal hole to find the information about Serkan's sponsorship that year from the company"

"Yes sir, I'm on it!"

Burak clenched his fist and thought of how badly he wanted Serkan removed from Izzy's side, but for now he had to be patient.

The next morning, Izzy woke up and was confused as she was not in her room. Staring at the walls in the room she was in, everything still was unfamiliar to her. As she sat up and scratched her head, there was a knock on the door. Before she could answer, the door opened and a brightly smiling Dr Fletcher entered the room.

"You're up? Good morning! I brought you some breakfast"

He placed a tray with breakfast on her lap as she sat in bed stunned at what was happening.

"Morning...did I sleep here?" Izzy asked confused.

"You passed out in the sauna last night. I took you to the infirmary and asked if there was anyone to take care of you for the night and you said 'no and something about ended..' So I had no choice, but to bring you back to my room to keep an eye on you"

"Your room??" Izzy asked surprised and then covered herself tightly in the robe she had on.

"Nothing happened and I slept on the couch" Dr Fletcher laughed.

"Ahh..Im-m sorry about the inconvenience caused"

"No inconvenience, but you do pass out quite alot around me. Is it a curse or just destiny?" he joked.

Izzy felt embarrassed and started fiddling with her hair to make it less obvious.

"You take your time and eat. I bought you some new clothes, as I couldn't access your clothes from the gym. They are over there, you can change into them after you are done eating. I'm going for a run and will be back in 30 minutes or so"

"Thank you, thank you!! I'm really sorry for troubling you" Izzy said sincerely.

"No problem"

As Dr Fletcher was about to leave the room, he turned back and looked at Izzy affectionately.

"I know it is not my place to get involved and I don't really know much about your situation... But, I feel as a doctor and hopefully as a 'friend' I should say this to you. If I don't then I will regret it... Whatever you are going through please think carefully about things and whatever causes you unnecessary stress or pain please end it or cut it out of your life. Right now, on both occasions after you passed out, your body's condition is not good. The first time I didn't want to cause you unnecessary worry and hoped you would sort things out to regain your health. Now it happens again and same results. So please Miss Izzy think about yourself for once and take care of your health. As the saying goes, ' Mistakes help us to learn things, but if done repeatedly then eventually it just takes up our time'...." he smiled timidly then walked out.

Izzy sat in bed and stared at the door for a while after he had left. She thought about what he said and especially kept thinking about 'mistakes taking up our time' she thought of her relationship with Burak. How initially it was bliss, but then she recalled how many times she wondered if it was a mistake for them to be together.

"They said ignorance is bliss and it was quite indeed. But now, has it all just been a big mistake?" she asked herself.
