Serkan sat in his hotel room drinking his sorrows away from everything that has happened. Recently his business in the US had been declining due to his absence, but he knew he couldn't leave SA now during this critical time. His thoughts had been so mixed up lately as initially he agreed to take revenge on Burak for past events, but after he met Izzy and saw her real nature, he had been forcing himself just to stick to the plan. Thinking back to the night of the kidnapping , he realized that Izzy probably really hated him now at the thought that he was involved. Even though he promised to rescue her, he was assaulted before he could even help her. Cursing himself for how things could have ended up this way and also how he could have sour a relationship that he genuinely felt so natural to have with someone. It had also been tough on Serkan during these years to have close friendships or relationships with anyone, as he had so much insecurities. Knowing how often he had been bullied during his childhood days and also acknowledging that people can hurt or abandon you on a whim.

"Izzy... I'm so sorry... I have become the person who helps others bully the weak and innocent" he mumbled to himself in tears.

Just as he wanted to dwell in his sorrows for a bit longer, First Lady called him.

"I have a job for you.."

Serkan was already feeling so bad, but wiped his tears and cleared his throat before answering.

"What is it?"

"Why do you sound like this? Has something happened ?"

"No one is around, no need for you to pretend that you care. What is it?"

"You ungrateful brat! Anyway , I won't let you ruin my good mood! Burak and Miss Aydin's engagement is flooding the Turkish media and also the business sector. I need you to fan the flames to SA, so that vixen can see it for herself and step down"

Serkan sighed heavily at the reason for her call, he had become tired of the games and was feeling remorseful.

"Are you still there? Why aren't you saying anything?"

Realizing he had been deep in thought, he thought he shouldn't let her know that he wants to back out of this.

"Yes, I'm still here.. Noted, I'll do what you ask"

Usually First Lady was the one to hang up first, but this time Serkan was the one to end the call abruptly. He went online to check the news that First Lady was talking about, reading through some articles he came across the pictures of Burak and Miss Aydin in their sleepwear at Burak's house.

"That bastard!! He couldn't even keep it in his pants! I was going to leave you, but now you really don't deserve Izzy's kindness. I'm going to make you pay for your greed"

He called up some of his media connections to help spread the story further. Recalling that Burak's family business had made a large donation to local organization in SA, he thought that would be a good loophole to use. Sobering himself up, he knew that he couldn't back out now, especially when things were getting this heated.

The next morning Izzy woke up feeling better than she had felt the last few days. She had been intentionally suppressing her thoughts and memories over the last few days, as the reality of things were to painful to bear. Her heart ached every time she thought of Burak, their relationship was such a mess that she wasn't even sure if it was possible to save it. Sitting up and rubbing her sleepy eyes, she remembered Kyle's request of moving in with him.

"It should be okay... I mean.. I think it will be. Izzy! Get your mind out of the gutter! It's possible for a man and woman to live together and not have a romantic relationship" she told herself.

Daisy came barging into Izzy's room with a very unreadable expression on her face.

"What is it? Why do you look like you have seen a ghost?" Izzy asked.

Daisy gulped loudly, afraid to tell her sister what's wrong, but kept staring at her with big eyes.

"Speak! You making me anxious.. Is it dad?!" Izzy jumped out of bed in a panic.

"No! No!" Daisy pushed her back down on the bed.

"Then what is it?"

"Promise you won't get too worked up, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah! Now tell me!"

Daisy reluctantly handed Izzy her phone and closed her eyes slightly, scared of Izzy's reaction. It was the news about Burak and Miss Aydin being engaged. There was no immediate reaction from Izzy, as she scrolled slowly down to see everything they had wrote. Her eyes grew wide when she saw the pictures of the two of them at Burak's penthouse door in just sleepwear.  Daisy waited in anticipation for Izzy to yell or get mad or something, but she didn't budge. Instead, she handed back the phone to Daisy and just nodded with a timid smile.

"What's that supposed to mean?? You're not upset or shocked?!"

"I was.. before, but he kept telling me there's nothing going on between them. I wasn't convinced, but tried to trust him for the sake of our relationship and memories we share. Now it's confirmed to the world for all to see, what is the point of running rampant over it. He chose this, so I will only be holding him back by trying to make things right. I'm tired of being disappointed, hurt, abandoned and left to overthink if I have done anything wrong. In the first place, I never fitted into their world, so this is a good way to break free from all of this.." Izzy trailed off.

Looking at how pitiful her sister was, she knew that Izzy was hiding her true feelings. Daisy sat down on the bed and pulled Izzy over into a warm bear hug. At that moment words failed her in how to comfort her sister , so she just hugged her tightly. When she felt Izzy silently crying, she knew that this was a heavier blow than she let on.

"It's okay, it's all going to be okay..." Daisy said.

"It's okay.. It should end like this..." Izzy muttered softly.
