Serkan was pissed at himself for pulling such a stunt and getting caught red handed by Izzy. He sat in his hotel room, picking at his food with a strong drink in hand. It had been two hours since he left Izzy's home, but she still had not contacted him. Frustration was driving him up the wall as the thought of how he could have been with her for the night to gain more entry into her life was blown. About to give up and go to bed, his phone rang.
"Efendim (Ma'am)?" he rolled his eyes whilst answering.
"What's the latest?" a stern woman's voice asked.
"A bit of a minor setback tonight, but I'm sure it will be dealt with soon"
"It better be handled or else the deal is off...." she said angrily.
Before Serkan could reply, she hung up the phone. His blood was boiling even more after the call as he threw his phone on the sofa, downed the rest of the liquor in his glass then went to bed.

Back at Izzy's home, she was half asleep in bed when her phone's vibrations on the bedside table woke her up. It was a video call from Burak, so she turned on the bedside lamp then answered.
"Hmmm..?" she answered in a drowsy state.
Her eyes opened a bit more when she heard Burak's chuckle on the other side.
"Çok tatlisin! (you're so cute)" he smirked at Izzy.
"Are you calling to make fun of me?"
"Hayir! I missed you and only had a free moment to call back now"
"Hmmm mmm" she said closing her eyes again.
"You're at home... Please tell me that jerk is not staying over" he said grumpily.
"Huh uh.. I sent him to the hotel. I'm home"
Burak felt relieved after hearing that.
"That's my girl" he teased.
She opened her one eye to stare at him, but she noticed he was still at the office then both her bloodshot eyes opened.
"Why are you not home? It's already after midnight"
"I know... There's just so much work to do that I've been practically living at the office" he said sarcastically.
"You need to rest too.. Have you eaten?"
"Shhhh...! Stop worrying about me. I'm a big boy! You have to take care of your parents"
Burak loved how much Izzy cared for him and sometimes downplayed how much he loved the affection.
"I... am..." she struggled to string a sentence together as her exhaustion was winning her over.
"Go sleep canim (dear), but I'll hang up after I see you went to sleep"
He was trying his luck, as he actually just wanted to be in her presence a little longer even if she was sleeping. It made him feel at peace, watching her sleep peacefully.
"You pervert..." she mumbled before she placed her phone on the side of the bedside table so she didn't have to hold onto it.
Hearing her say those works brought a smirk to his face, he loved when she was trying to be a smartass.
"Yes, yes! I'm only yours.." he teased back, but she had already fallen asleep.
Burak stared at the screen for five more minutes then placed his phone on the holder on the desk to have her presence while he got back to work. Every now and then he stole a glimpse of her. Smiling like a giddy teenager, he wondered if this was crossing the line to continue the call like this. It wasn't something in his nature to do, but somehow it felt less lonely with it on. After an hour, Izzy must have turned too fast in her sleep and the phone fell flat down on the pillow. Burak noticed as he sipped on his coffee then smirked at how ridiculous it looked. He hung up after realising he probably won't be able to see her again.
"I don't know what you are doing to me, but... I love it. I'm definitely going to make you my wife when you return" Burak mumbled to himself before finishing work.

By morning Izzy woke up feeling more human like. She turned around and saw her phone face down on the pillow, grabbed it quickly and was happy that Burak ended the call. Smiling to herself at the silliness of her partner, she scrolled on her phone to see if there were any updates from her mother.

Seeing nothing, she called to check in. It was before the doctors rounds and her mom assured her that everything was fine. Then she got out of bed, made the bed then went downstairs to put on the coffee machine. Stretching herself out, she noticed the post it of Serkan on the counter. Feeling two minded whether to contact him or not after last night's incident, she placed it on the fridge and started breakfast.

After breakfast, she freshened up and got dressed. Trying to get hold of Burak before she left home, but no response on his end. Even though she had alot on her plate, she worried about him dealing with things whilst being alone. Burak wasn't aware that Izzy knew he got sick from stressing so much internally. She accidentally saw him taking the medication a few times before she left. Even though he was quite in good health, his extreme stress gave him stomachache and she assumed it was gastritis. He never disclosed it to her and always pretended to be fine, but she knew better. Sighing, then getting ready to leave the house, she got a call from her mom.

"Hey darling are you still home?"
"Yes, about to leave. Why, do you need something?"
"Can you wait ten more minutes, there's a package arriving and I want you to receive it before coming here"

She was perplexed by her mom's request as they weren't much for online shopping, so she wondered what kind of package she would need to receive.

"Sure! Do you want me to get you anything before I get there?"
"Hmm.. Bring my knitting needles and some wool please. They upstairs in the cupboard near the linen"
"Yes ma'am!" she mocked.
"Be gentle with the package, okay? I have to go now, the doctor is here"

Why was her mother speaking in such riddles? She was now really eager to see what will arrive. As she waited, she ran up to pack in the wool and needles. Before she got downstairs, the bell at the gate rang. Going outside to the driveway, she stopped in her tracks then yelped at what she saw arrive. It was her middle sister Daisy!

"Are you going to keep staring at me from the driveway?!" she mockingly yelled at Izzy.
Izzy ran to the gate and opened it quickly then hugged her sister tightly.
"I'm so glad you're here!"
"I missed you too, little one!"

Daisy was a different character to Izzy. She was very passive and upset everyone with the amount of patience she had. Even as a child she was very patient and calm. Her love language was to show affection and help others. It had been a long time since they saw each other as Daisy moved to Australia and was working as a nurse. In her spare time, she also volunteered as a caregiver at senior citizen homes. It was really hard to not like her and her sunny personality.

After the girls got inside to offload everything, Izzy made some coffee whilst her sister freshened up.

"Are you sure you want to go to the hospital immediately and not eat something first?" Izzy asked.
"Yes! I already feel bad for only arriving now. I ate on the plane so I'll be fine" she assured her.
Finishing her coffee, she noticed the post it on the fridge.
"Missy? Spill the beans!" Daisy said as she held the post it infront of Izzy.

Then Izzy told her the whole story of how she met Serkan and also the incident last night.

"Hmmm.. I see. Indeed a bit fishy.. You need to have patience to see his true colours"

Izzy nod in agreement, but the whole Serkan situation made her feel a bit unsettled in a way. As she brushed it aside they hopped in the car then left for the hospital.
