It bothered both Serkan and Burak that they couldn't meet up before the engagement party that evening. Yildez had notified Burak that Serkan was safe and would meet him tomorrow, a very anxious Burak was getting dressed for the party , far from excited.

"Just make sure they keep Serkan safe. These days I have trust issues, especially the way things are going" Burak said with a deep sigh.

Yildez assured him that the security will be bulked up , so that things would run smoothly. As they were speaking there was a knock on the hotel suite door, before he could ask who it was Miss Aydin opened the door herself.

"How do you have my room key?" Burak asked surprised.

"It's our engagement party, of course I can have it! It would be even weirder if I didn't have it" she said in a bold tone.

Burak scanned her outfit and he now understood what she implied by arranging the attire. They both wore couples matching formal wear, it was displeasing for him to wear it with her, but he pretended that he didn't mind. Miss Aydin came closer and helped him put on his blazer jacket, moving closer so that their lips were only inches apart.

"I'm glad you didn't stand me up tonight. It's in everyone's best interest that we get married" she whispered to him in a sly tone.

Burak could sense that she was hinting at the power she had to harm others if he didn't eventually agree. It annoyed him to listen to her talk this nonsense, but for what was at stake he brushed it off. She kissed him on the cheek and then seductively rubbed off the lipstick stain she left. Miss Aydin knew that Burak had told her that he didn't like physical contact and he wanted to flinch in the moment, but just bore through it. Allowing Burak to finish getting dressed alone, she left to go meet with her family before it started. As he arrived, Burak had already met up with his parents who were extremely happy about the engagement, his father immediately rushed over to talk to some business partners. Now knowing the truth, Burak had a hard time to even endure talking to First Lady, as she kept telling him how this was for his own good. He faked a smile, but on the inside he was impatiently waiting for the day to take his revenge.

The engagement party went smoothly and there was so many business tycoons and their spouses in attendance. Burak was bored to death at all the business partners he had to make small talk with, also the amount of times he had to endure Miss Aydin's displays of affection. Yildez came up to him and told him to drink less, as he had to stay sober minded, but Burak said it was his only way of getting through this charade. So many media also came to cover the party, as per Miss Aydin's request. Burak felt like a monkey in the zoo the way people were staring at him and taking so many pictures. After the party, Miss Aydin tried her luck and wanted to return to Burak's room with him. Her plan was easy to predict as she kept offering Burak more alcohol during the party, but he was a step ahead and asked Yildez to switch his rooms, so that when she came over later he wouldn't be there. Just as he had predicted, she went over to his room in a robe, but left disappointed.

In the morning Burak took a quick shower and a hangover remedy before meeting up with Serkan at his father's coffee shop. It was one of Burak's favourite places and he loved hanging out with his uncle, as he would refer to him as. When he arrived, he saw the ambulance was standing outside the shop, immediately he got out the car and rushed inside to see what was happening. There he saw an outraged and emotional Serkan yelling at the paramedics with a small crowd gathered around them. Eventually when Burak made his way through, he saw his uncle lying down on the stretcher, motionless. He looked at Serkan in shock, not believing what he was seeing. The paramedics tried calming Serkan down and reasoning with him, but he was in denial. Burak then asked what happened and they told him that his uncle had a heart attack and didn't make it. Also, in disbelief he went to stand next to Serkan who kept yelling they should try again to revive him. They kept explaining to him that it was too late, but he was overly emotional and in shock. Burak then held him back and asked Yildez and the rest of the security team to deal with it and also close up the shop. Dragging an enraged Serkan to the little office in the back, Burak gave him some water to calm down.
