"How much longer is this going to take? You keep stalling and time is running out!" Emma yelled out on the other end of the call.

"Can you please stop rushing me?! I told you that I would take care of Izzy and I will!" Serkan snapped back.

"You either do it today or else.. I will send my own people to finish the job!" she threatened.

"I know what I'm doing Emma! Stop treating me like a child" Serkan yelled.

"Then what is your plan?"

"I met some men that are greedy for money. I've instructed them to tag along on this trip and then stage a kidnapping. Then when Izzy is at her wits end, I'll be the one to save her"

"I hope you have no holes in your plan. You have to keep me posted so that we can demand the ransom from Burak"

"Yes, I know. Don't worry, I'll ensure that he is so occupied that he can't save Izzy, but only fork out the money for her safe return. Knowing his possessive nature, he should have henchmen already here" Serkan explained.

"Understood! Let's ensure there's no faults on our end. Until later..." Emma hung up.

In Turkiye, Burak was brewing like a storm in a tea cup in his office. He had been trying to figure out how Serkan got special privileges from his parents. In general his parents had always been strict and always pushed him harder to do better. Thinking of how his parents treat Izzy, he knew they do not like to associate with people that have no elite background or who are not from a wealthy family. So the fact that Serkan won favour with them and they paid so much money for him to study abroad, made him question everything. The investigation felt like it was taking forever to provide more information and he wanted to delay asking his parents directly, as he knew they can easily make the evidence disappear if they are notified. Burak had no choice , but to just wait a bit longer and watch how things would unfold. He was so tense and anxious these days that it slowly started affecting his health. Lately he had not been feeling well and Yildez insisted he go to the hospital to get a check up, but Burak felt like it was a waste of time. He had been drinking alot lately and not paying enough attention to his bad habits that started affecting his lifestyle. Some nights when he managed to get some rest, he would have strange nightmares that shook his whole body, until he woke up in cold sweats. Burak pushed all the signs of his health worsening by pushing himself to work harder with no time to rest. Thoughts of Izzy swirled his head, but he knew without substantial evidence he would anger her more if he instructed her to stay away from Serkan. Drinking his second dose of painkillers, Burak tried to relax before his next meeting. He had hoped the painkillers soothed him a bit, as he was broken on the inside not being able to fix his relationship with Izzy or even be with her.

"Sir, we are ready to start the meeting" Yildez said as he entered the office.

"Tamam(ok)..." Burak said sullen.

As Burak got up from his chair, his head started spinning. Holding onto the desk, Yildez rushed over to ask him what was wrong. Before Burak could push him aside to pretend he was fine, he collapsed right next to his desk. Yildez immediately called the other assistant over and they carried Burak to the car to take him to the hospital.

On the way there, Yildez notified Burak's parents and they said they would meet him at the hospital.

"Miss Aydin go over to the hospital. Burak is sick and you will take care of him" Burak's mother said slyly over the phone.

She knew that this was the moment that she could force Miss Aydin into Burak's life. As the first lady of the company, she was always an opportunist and spared no relations in securing what she wanted.
