At a cafe in the city bowl, Serkan was having coffee when his phone rang.
"Yes?" he said frustrated.
"What's the latest?" a fierce female voice asked.
"The latest is that your son is in South Africa. Why couldn't you keep him on a leash? His messing up the plan"
"His what??!!" the woman sounded outraged by the news.
"Yes, I just saw him arrive at the hospital. He didn't even want me to be a second longer around Izzy. His really annoying!"
"I'll call him and set things straight. Don't worry he will be out of the picture soon. Just focus on the plan"
Serkan sighed heavily then agreed. As he placed his phone back on the table he gulped down the last of his coffee then went for a walk in Cape Town gardens. He saw many different kinds of people there, some enjoying the gardens view, some begging for money, tourist groups, employees on lunch, etc. After a while, he kept staring at some homeless guys that were targeting tourists to ask for money. He got an idea and walked over to them.
"Hey, I'd like to hire you for a job"
They looked at him confused by his request.
"Don't worry, nothing illegal.." he grinned.
"I'll pay you well" he reassured them.
They agreed instantly after they heard about the payment. He arranged to meet them tomorrow at the same place, then left.
"Sorry Izzy, but I have to teach Burak a lesson using you.."
Walking back to his hotel, he kept thinking about Izzy and how fragile she seemed regardless of how feisty she was. Serkan knew that she would never see him in the same light as she sees Burak, but he wanted to atleast try. His hatred for Burak stems from a dark place, but from the ignorance on Burak's face when they meet, he knew that he wasn't aware that they already knew each other.
"If I can't be happy, then neither should you..."
Serkan mumbled to himself as the thought of Burak being happy next to Izzy made his hatred burn deeper.Meanwhile back at Izzy's family home, Burak returned with her and Daisy. He was fascinated to see the home in which Izzy grew up in. Every picture of her childhood he stared at in detail.
"Hey! Stop looking! It's embarrassing"
Izzy stood infront of the photos to cover them up.
"They are so cute!!"
Burak grasped her arms then pulled them down to her side. She tried to escape his hold, but he was stronger than her. She gave a sly smile, as she missed teasing Burak. He came closer and his lips were inches away from hers. Izzy swallowed hard then bit her lip, trying to stay calm. She could not avoid the heat of him so close to her, as her cheeks immediately started reddening. He stared deep into her eyes, then her lips, then slowly moved closer. Izzy closed her eyes as she longed to feel Burak's lips on hers, but instead he put his mouth next to her ear.
"Izzy Hanim, what are you thinking? This is your family home and we are not alone. Naughty girl.."
He gave a soft chuckle then she opened her eyes and pushed him away. Burak laughed louder at her being upset.
"Just you wait and see, Burak Bey..."
She sneered, as she went upstairs to her room.As Burak sat down on the couch, he got a call from his mother. He rolled his eyes as he knew she would be upset as he left without telling anyone.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" his mother was yelling the minute he answered.
"Hello to you too..." he tried to lighten the mood.
"I'm in no mood for jokes Burak! Why are you not cleaning up the issues at the company? You know it's important tasks that can't be done by others, yet you defied me and you're on holiday in South Africa. I didn't think you were still so irresponsible! That woman is no good for you if she is dragging you away from important business affairs"
Burak sighed heavily as he got annoyed just listening to his mother's rant. She gave him no time to even explain and immediately blamed Izzy.
"She didn't do anything so don't put this on her! It was my choice to come here and support her whilst her family is going through things. She never asked me to come, instead she pushed me to go back for the business"
"You expect me to believe that?! She is using you. Luring you away! Don't say I didn't warn you.."
"Izzy is not that kind of woman!.."
Burak yelled back, but his mother had already hung up on him. He threw his phone on the couch and turned around to see Daisy. The expression on her face, gave it away.
"You heard it?.." he asked.
"Hmmm yeah..."
Burak wasn't sure if she was angry or annoyed. He wanted to explain to ensure there was no misunderstanding.
"Does she know..?" her question interrupted his thoughts.
"No... But she is aware of the complicated relationship with my parents"
"I see... It's none of my business and I won't tell what I heard, but if you can't protect her from getting hurt then you should rethink if the relationship is possible. She's more fragile than you think"
Her words seeped into Burak's conscious, as he knew that their relationship would not be an easy pill for some to swallow, especially his family. He thought over time it would be better, but he seemed to be overestimating things.
"Thank you.." he lagged off.
Break up with Izzy?... That's something I can never agree to. No matter how hard things get... I can't let go of her.. She's been my main support throughout everything and also has brought new meaning to my life...
Burak's thoughts were muddled by his mother's vicious words and Daisy's reminder. As he was about to brush them aside he got a text from an unfamiliar number. The words of the text made him even more anxious as it was cryptic, but also fitting to what just happened. It creeped him out to read it...
Some things are meant to broken. Don't be so confident that you can fix it all...
