1.7 - Restoration Of The Timelords

The Doctor: I know many people - Karvanista, Braxiatel, Susan, Ian, Barbara, Robert, Vicki, Steven, Katarina, Bret, Sara, Oliver, Dodo, Ben, Polly, Jamie, Victoria, Parry, The Brigadier, Zoe, Benton, Tarlos, Bianca, Liz, Yates, Clara, River, Jo, Kate, Osgood, Peladon, Churchill, Sarah-Jane, Harry, Margaret, Naomi, Leela, Toos, Poul, Jago, Litefoot, K9, Romana, Anya, Wibbsey, Adric, Nyssa, Narvin, Tegan, Brewster, Hannah, Brooke, Marc, Tatum, Turlough, Kamelion, Peri, Erimem, Daniel, Lewis, Linda, Abby, Zara, Joe, Mel, Glitz, Ellie, Evelyn, D.I. Becca. But I still don't quite know myself. I'd like to learn more, I-I mean I could, I have every forgotten memory stored away within the TARDIS, but the thing is I'm scared, I'm scared that I'll find something that I never wanted to know, something dark, something evil. Something wicked this way comes.
In the TARDIS console room:
Becca: Right. I'm off to bed, I'll see you in the morning or something.
The Doctor: Yeah... night.
Becca: Night.
She leaves the room. He gets up & punches coordinates into the TARDIS console & pulls a lever, the TARDIS dematerialises.
On Gallifrey:
The TARDIS materialises. The doors open.
The Doctor: Home.

On Gallifrey:
He leaves the TARDIS.
-This is it.
He walks into the city.
In the panopticon:
-The panopticon. All gone now.
He holds the sphere up.
-Where am I taking you?
It leaves his hand & floats away, he follows it.
In a room:
-The matrix? I need to go into the matrix to activate it.
A woman appears.
Lorana: Hello, Doctor.
The Doctor: Lorana.
Lorana: Enter the matrix, Doctor.
The Doctor: How are you here?
Lorana: Kiriara messaged me, said that you possessed the restoration device.
The Doctor: I see.
Lorana: Are you ready?
The Doctor: As I'll ever be.
He lays on a dentist chair, Lorana places a mind-probe device over his head, he closes his eyes.
In the matrix:
The Doctor wakes up.
The Doctor: Darkness. Helpful.
Fugitive Doctor: It's what we're used to, no?
The Doctor: You.
Fugitive Doctor: Charmed, I'm sure.
The Doctor: What do I need to do?
Fugitive Doctor: Restore the Timelords.
War Doctor: Isn't it obvious?
The Doctor: Ok... this is getting weird now.
13th Doctor: I know!
15th Doctor: Your telling me!
The Doctor: Can you all just stop?! For a second, I'm The Doctor, not The Eleven. Lord.
9th Doctor: Walk into the darkness.
The Doctor: Ok.
9th Doctor: Follow me, the dark coat might be hard to see so-
The Doctor: Just follow your ears?
9th Doctor: Oi!
The Doctor: Sorry.
The Doctor follows the 9th Doctor, the panopticon is now in view.
-The panopticon.
9th Doctor: Looks like it.
The Doctor: Why are you bringing me here?
9th Doctor: You are to be shown how the restoration device works.
The Doctor: I see.
A timelord witch stands over a crystal.
-Crysila.
9th Doctor: A very old face.
The Doctor: Yeah!
He laughs.
Crysila: I, Crysila! Witch of The Timelords craft this device for the event of total extinction of the Timelords!
She screams as blue lights come from all directions.
The Doctor: What's that?
9th Doctor: Souls. Timelord Souls, or duplications of them. Sort of like a backup or USB stick.
The Doctor: I see.
Suddenly a white light fills the viewable room, a blue spherical object appears before Crysila.
9th Doctor: The restoration device.
Crysila: It is to be placed within the pupil of harmony in order to revive the entire Gallifreyan race.
9th Doctor: That's what you do.
The Doctor: I restore the entire Gallifreyan race.
The panopticon & Crysila fade away.
Becca: Doctor!
The Doctor turns.
15th Doctor: It's Becca.
The Doctor: Yeah.
15th Doctor: What is that?
A bed appears in the darkness, Becca is asleep, a shadow of a man in a duffel coat, with red eyes & a hat appears next to her bed, he reaches out for Becca.
The Doctor: No!
In the matrix room:
The Doctor wakes up, his head covered in sweat.
The Doctor: Becca. She-
Lorana: Doctor?
The Doctor: I know what to do. I know how to restore the Timelords.
He runs, Lorana follows him.
In the pupil of harmony:
-The central command for the eye of harmony.
Lorana: What do you do?
The Doctor: I just simply have to place the restoration device in the Pupil Of Harmony.
He steps onto the edge & holds the device up, The Doctor begins to float.
Lorana: This is it!
The Doctor throws the sphere up, blue lightning shoots of off it.
The Doctor: The restoration of The Timelords!
Suddenly the lightning begins to wrap around The Doctor.
Lorana: Doctor!
The Doctor screams.
The Doctor: My mind! It's burning!
Lorana: What do you mean?!
The Doctor: The dead Timelords! Past memories! E-even forgotten memories!
Sarah-Jane: Doctor!
4th Doctor: Would you like a jelly baby?
Tegan: Brave heart, Tegan.
6th Doctor: Carrot juice!
1st Doctor: Have you ever wandered what it's like to be wanderers in the 4th dimension?
Ace: Leave me alone!
The Master: A man's allowed to experiment.
Donna: Pockets!
Rose: I love you.
15th Doctor: I'm The Doctor.
Martha: The Doctor, he's brilliant, but he's like fire - get to close & you get burnt.
Mel: Now get out of my way!
Gwen: I always thought he'd be older.
13th Doctor: Brilliant!
Yaz: I don't want it to end.
Ruby: Doctor!
7th Doctor: Time's champions
11th Doctor: The oncoming storm.
9th Doctor: Fantastic!
14th Doctor: Cryptic... I hate that.
Taslo: Doctor!
Gat: Doctor!
Fugitive Doctor: Hello, I'm The Doctor.
Blood begins to pour from The Doctor's eyes.
Lorana: It's killing you!
The Doctor: The past! I-it's coming back to me! I have to wait!
Lorana: Take my hand! Doctor! Please! Loosing your life for a few memories isn't worth it! Doctor! Please!
The Doctor: It's not just a few memories though! It's multiple lifetimes! I have the right to know what I was! Yeah, maybe when I find out I'll regret it but it's my life!
The Doctor opens a hatch in the TARDIS console, she throws a fob watch into the hatch & closes it.
13th Doctor: Keep this safe for me.
Lorna: Doctor! Please!
The Doctor: Fine.
He takes her hand & pulls him out of the Pupil Of Harmony.
Lorana: It's happening.
The Doctor: Gallifrey. It's being restored! At last!
He laughs.
-Gallifrey!
Suddenly multiple Timelords begin to appear behind him as the once damaged Gallifrey begins to become the elegant planet it once was.
-My work here is done.
He walks away.
In the Outland:
The Doctor walks away from the city, he looks back & smiles.
In the TARDIS:
The Doctor walks in & closes the doors.
Becca: Where have you been?
The Doctor: Your awake?
Becca: Couldn't sleep.
The Doctor: Oh.
Becca: What happened?
The Doctor: What'd you mean?
Becca: The blood.
The Doctor: Bumped my nose, long story.
He pulls the TARDIS lever down, the TARDIS begins to dematerialise.
Becca: Where were we anyway?
The Doctor: It doesn't matter.
Becca: Doctor? Tell. Me.
The Doctor: Gallifrey.
Becca: Gallifrey?! As in your Gallifrey?!
The Doctor: Yep.
Becca: I can't miss Gallifrey! Surely!
The Doctor: We're about to land.
Becca: No we're not.
She pulls the lever back up, the TARDIS stops dematerialising, she runs out the doors.
On Gallifrey:
Becca: Wow.
The Doctor follows her.
-It's stunning.
The Doctor: Yeah, I guess.
Becca: Why don't you like to talk about it? It's your home planet, your heritage!
The Doctor: It's not, a long time ago I discovered that my DNA was sampled, I'm the baseline genome for The Timelords, I've lived dozens of faces, not all of them I can remember.
Becca: Gene splicing? What? But why can't you remember some of your lives?
The Doctor: The Timelords took them away from me, wiped my memory, they did something but I'd rather not know.
Becca: Is there anyway of getting them back?
The Doctor: I've got them. Technically.
Becca: What'd you mean, technically?
The Doctor: They were stored, in a fob watch, I have it.
Becca: Then why don't you use it?
The Doctor: Because I don't know if I should. What if I discover something that I'd rather not know, what if I used to be some kind of monster? A genocidal lunatic, something dangerous? That's the thing with past lives, they all have their baggage that you'd rather wish you'd not brought with you.
Becca: Maybe someday?
The Doctor: Someday.

NEXT TIME:
The silhouette of a man in a hat appears at the end of Becca's bed.
The Doctor: I've seen this before.
Becca: I've been seeing this man.
Nat: If you see The Hatman, run.
Becca: My therapist, she told me that if I saw 'The Hatman' then I should run.
Nat: A man in a hat?
The Doctor: Something inhumane.
Becca: Demonic?
Janine: No. Definitely not demonic, more a creature of another world.
Becca: Another world?
Janine: The Hatman has latched himself onto you, he won't stop until you're dead.
Becca slowly turns her head, The Hatman stands behind her.
Becca: He's here.
The Doctor: Save her!
Janine: Oh dear, I believe it's too late.
