The Valeyard: (voice) This is a war.
Avalanche by Bring Me The Horizon plays.
Romana runs down a corridor.
Leela stabs one of Sil's experiment.
Leela: Narvin!
One of Sil's experiments attempts to strike Narvin, he turns & punches them.
Narvin: Run!
The Kraal ship begins to land.
Romana: We need help! Where is The Doctor?! The Master?! The Rani?! Someone! We need someone!
The Master: Did someone call me?
Romana: How?
The Master: You won't believe what I have become.
A Dalek saucer appears.
Romana: A Dalek saucer. It really is the end.
The Doctor stares at Tecteun.
Alex throws the gun down.
The Doctor: I am The Doctor & I am going to stop you.
Avalanche stops playing.

Alex: We have to stop them!
The Valeyard: You will watch as Gallifrey burns.
The Valeyard clicks her fingers, a screen appears showing the fight on Gallifrey. I'm
The Doctor: Alex... get into the TARDIS.
Alex: No! We are not doing this again!
The Doctor: Shouldn't you be dead?
13th Doctor: Listen to me. I'm gonna save my friends. I'm gonna save that universe. And I'm gonna destroy Division. So hold on to that hat, because you, me, and the end of the universe -it's personal now. And I'm gonna win.
Swarm: No.
Tecteun: How did you get here?
Swarm: The psycho-temporal bridge I've been building, powered by the energy we harvested from the lifeforms of that universe, to you, Doctor. Right from the start. All it took was a little Time. And all for this, to get beyond any one universe, to find Division, to get revenge on those who imprisoned us so long ago. To take them all.
Tecteun: You don't belong here.
Azure: Say thank you, Doctor.
13th Doctor: What for?
Azure: We could heal this pain of yours so easily.
Swarm: You released me. Now I release you.
13th Doctor: No, no, no, don't touch her!
Tecteun disintegrates.
Swarm: Now, Doctor... You.
Tecteun: Ah yes, a simple hologram.
The Doctor: You made me believe I was dead! How?!
Tecteun: You don't understand-
The Doctor: You call yourself a mother. You're anything but.
Tecteun: Ooh we are proud.
The Doctor: You took me from who knows where, you took me back to Gallifrey, experimented on me, spliced my DNA & then wiped my mind countless times over & made my entire life a lie! How can I see you as a motherly figure when you did all of that to me!
Alex: On my planet you'd be arrested for that.
Tecteun: You think you're so brave, with all your quick snappy remarks, but deep down you're terrified of dying.
Alex: Oh yeah?
Tecteun: Terrified of the grip of a Cyberman on your either of upper arms dragging you away, kicking & screaming to have your brain removed & placed into a cold suit of steel armour with no feeling, no control, no way back.
Alex: Stop!
Cybermen: Delete! You belong to us!
-No!
The Doctor: Stop this at once!
Tecteun: Oh Alex, it was always gonna end with you crying & pleading for your life.
Two Cybermen appear.
Alex: No! No!
She runs to The Doctor & grabs ahold of her arm.
-Please. Doctor! No! Please!
She cries.
-No!
Tecteun: Take her for cyber-conversion.
Alex: Please. Doctor!
Cyberman 1: You belong to us!
The Cybermen rip Alex away from The Doctor.
The Doctor: No! Leave her alone! Please! Leave her alone!
Alex: Doctor!
She cries.
-Doctor!
Cyberman 2: Silence!
Tecteun: Oh well. Tragic, really.
Alex: Doctor! Please! Don't let it happen again!
She's dragged out of the room.
The Doctor: Alex.
On Gallifrey, The Panopticon:
Romana: Full potential?! What are you talking about?
The Master: You'll see. I can't do it here, not enough room.
Romana: What? Oh you're just talking jiberesh!
The Master: The Valeyard has brought a second great time war to Gallifrey, all of The Doctors greatest enemies in the skies & grounds of our home.
Narvin: 200 soldiers dead.
Leela: I don't think we have a fighting chance.
Romana: Let's not loose help just yet.
Narvin: We only have 2000 soldiers.
Romana: How many approximately have died on the enemy's side?
Leela: At least 50.
Romana: It's not good.
Leela: No.
Romana: We need to rethink our strategy.
Narvin: We could freeze time.
Leela: & remain trapped here forever.
Romana: It could be our only option.
The Master: Listen to you all-
He gets on the stage.
-Talking like it's all over, like we've lost!
Romana: What other option do we have?!
The Master: You fight!
Romana: How?!
The Master: What on Earth are we doing just standing here?! We should be down there fighting!
Leela: He's right.
Narvin: It's our only chance. If we can't loose-
Romana: We join the fight.
On the battleground:
An explosion fires.
The Master: This should be enough room.
Romana: What is this full potential that you speak of?
The Master: You'll see.
The Master takes a vial of water from a rope around his neck & pours it on his hand.
-The water from a purity lake.
His eyes begin to glow white as he transforms into a squid like creature.
Romana: What in god's name?
The Master begins to beat Daleks out of the sky.
Soldier: Fire!
Dalek: Exterminate!
The Dalek exterminates the soldier, he falls.
Romana: Oh.
In the Division Biodome:
In the conversion room:
Alex is thrown into the conversion chamber.
Alex: No please! Please! I'll do anything! Please just don't do this to me! Please!
Cyberman 1: Prepare conversion!
Cyberman 2 pulls a lever, it begins to send shockwaves through Alex's body, she screams.
In the biodome:
The Doctor: Stop this! Ood!
Ood: Yes?
The Doctor: I'm sorry that I have to do this.
The Doctor sonics the Ood's communication sphere, their eyes turn red.
Ood: I must kill the Cybermen.
The Ood walks away.
Tecteun: No! Stop them!
The Doctor: Attempt to stop them & I'll have them come for you next.
The Valeyard: Look at you... finally seeing the better in what I believe in.
The Doctor: I am nothing like you.
The Valeyard: We are siblings after all...
The Doctor: & how many lost memories do you have?
The Valeyard: None.
The Doctor: Of course. It all makes sense! The entitlement! The delusions! Raised by THAT it's no surprise.
The Valeyard: I have lived for thousands of years, Doctor. I have seen everything, when you have seen what I've seen you'll understand.
The Doctor: Really?
The Valeyard: You'd understand too.
The Doctor: Sure.
The Valeyard: Take my hand.
The Doctor: Why should I?
The Valeyard: We are siblings of a different species from the Timelords, we do different things. Take my hands.
The Doctor takes The Valeyard's hands, a white light flashes.
The Valeyard shoots a woman.
The Doctor: (voice) What is this?
The Valeyard: (voice) Us, thousands of years ago. A mental projection.
A man stands next to The Valeyard.
The Doctor: (voice) Who's that?
The Valeyard: (voice) You, although you weren't exactly known as The Doctor then.
The Doctor: (voice) You mean, Theta-Sigma?
The Valeyard: (voice) No. I was known as The Doctor, and you, you were known as The Profane, eventually adopted the title of 'The Valeyard', & one day you went too far, you had stumbled upon a community on the planet Mercutore & you requested shelter whilst running from the storm, an ancient species that we had angered & they refused after knowing who you really were & refused to give you shelter & so... You destroyed every single one of them.
The Doctor: (voice) No.
The Doctor stands over a dead body, Flashes of red appear.
The Valeyard: (voice) I had never seen sand so damp from all the blood that had been spilled.
The Doctor: (voice) I couldn't have!
The Valeyard: (voice) You were trialled on Gallifrey & they decided to place you under a chameleon arch & adopt the name of 'The Doctor' and I... I was disowned in misbelief that I had done what you did & that's how I adopted the name 'The Valeyard', our identities were swapped & when you discovered this, you went on the run & hid under a chameleon arch in Gloucester under the name 'Ruth Clayton' and I think that you know the rest.
The Doctor: (voice) Yes.
A white light flashes.
-I was the monster.
In the conversion room:
The Ood comes in.
Cyberman 1: Leave!
The Ood places the communication spheres on their chests, they scream & fall-
Alex: Stop the machine!
They release Alex.
-Thank you.
In the Biodome:
Alex: Doctor!
The Doctor: Oh Alex!
They hug.
Tecteun: Now you see why we did it, Doctor.
The Doctor: I hate you. What I'm about to do may be extremely wrong but I have a reason, Alex get in the TARDIS.
Alex gets in the TARDIS.
-Ood, kill them.
Ood: I obey.
The Ood approaches Tecteun & kills her.
The Doctor: I'm sorry, but everything happens for a reason.
The Doctor gets into the TARDIS, it dematerialises.
The Valeyard: No! Doctor!
In the TARDIS:
Alex: Did you set The Ood on them?
The Doctor: Do you want an answer.
Alex: No.
The Doctor: Well then.
Alex: I'm sorry I got so scared-
The Doctor: Do not apologise.
Alex: But-
The Doctor: I'm sorry that it nearly happened again, which is why I need to take you home.
On earth:
The TARDIS materialises, The Doctor steps out, Alex follows.
Alex: No! I am not leaving!
Rick: Hey.
Alex: Tell her! I won't leave her side!
Rick: What's going on?
Alex: She's going off to fight on Gallifrey in a 'time war'!
Rick: Sounds dangerous, let her get on with it I say.
Alex: Seriously?!
Rick: What?!
Alex: I'm coming with you.
In the TARDIS:
The Doctor walks in, Alex & Rick come in.
The Doctor: Fine! Fine!
On Gallifrey:
The TARDIS materialises, screaming & explosions can be heard in the background.
Alex: Oh god.
The Doctor: Right. This is where you need to listen, because things are about to get dangerous, you need to listen to every single word I say, do not leave my side, ok?
Alex: Got it.
On the battlefield:
Kraals, Daleks, Sil's Experiments & Timelords fight on the battlefield, The Master continues to knock Daleks from the sky.
Storm Dalek: Exterminate!
Berserker Dalek: Obliterate!
They fire a machine gun at The Master, he falls from the sky & makes loud echoing thud onto the ground.
Romana: Master!
She runs.
Leela: He is dead?
Narvin: I'm afraid so!
Romana: He was our only fighting chance.
Leela: Romana! Narvin! Look! The TARDIS!
Romana: Finally! Here she is!
Narvin: Took long enough!
Romana: Yes.
The doors open.
The Doctor: Did someone call for A Doctor?
The Doctor looks around.
Alex: I think we're gonna stay in here.
The Doctor: This can't be fixed that easily, no one will be happy until they kill themselves, Romana keep the fight going as long as you can! I have an idea, a risky one but it'll work, The Doctor gets into the TARDIS, it dematerialises.
Narvin: Brilliant.
Romana: Fat lot of food he was.
Leela: I do not understand!
In the TARDIS:
The Doctor: I don't have any other options.
Her eyes widen.
-Oh... no... I can't.
Alex: What?
The Doctor: I need you to trust me.
Alex: What are you gonna do?
The Doctor: I'm gonna destroy the Daleks.
Rick: What?!
The Doctor: It's our only option left. I need to do something drastic that could change my timeline, by doing this it'll make the current timeline that'll collapse in on itself which will allow a timeline of a very very similar timeline to the one now lost to be created which will fix everything.
Alex: Did you get any of that?
Rick: Nope.
Alex: Same.
Rick: So to do all that what do we need to do?
The Doctor: I enter the time stream.
Alex: How?!
The Doctor: A burning star.
Rick: What?
The Doctor: I need to launch the TARDIS into a burning star which is where I can access my timeline, from where the matter of reality is so dense & thin that I can jump in & change anything.
Rick: Is that safe?
The Doctor: Not entirely, but it's our last bet.
Alex: God.
The Doctor: BUT!
Rick: What?
The Doctor: You need to prepare for the worst... this could be the day we die.
In space:
The TARDIS flies towards a burning star.
In the TARDIS:
The Doctor: Brace yourselves!
In space:
The TARDIS flies into a burning star.
In the TARDIS:
The TARDIS begins to shake.
In The Timeline Moat:
The TARDIS materialises, The Doctor, Alex & Rick step out.
Alex: What's that?!
The Doctor: My time stream.
Rick: What now?
The Doctor: I jump in.
The Doctor jumps in.
Alex: Doctor!
The Doctor screams.
Skaro:
4th Doctor : Just touch these two strands together and the Daleks are finished. Have I that right?
Sarah-Jane: To destroy the Daleks? You can't doubt it.
4th Doctor: Well, I do. You see, some things could be better with the Daleks. Many future worlds will become allies just because of their fear of the Daleks.
Sarah-Jane: But it isn't like that.
4th Doctor: But the final responsibility is mine, and mine alone. Listen, if someone who knew the future pointed out a child to you and told you that that child would grow up totally evil, to be a ruthless dictator who would destroy millions of lives, could you then kill that child?
Sarah-Jane: We're talking about the Daleks, the most evil creatures ever invented. You must destroy them. You must complete your mission for the Time Lords.
4th Doctor: Do I have the right? Simply touch one wire against the other and that's it. The Daleks cease to exist. Hundreds of millions of people, thousands of generations can live without fear, in peace, and never even know the word Dalek.
Sarah-Jane: Then why wait? If it was a disease or some sort of bacteria you were destroying, you wouldn't hesitate.
4th Doctor: But I kill, wipe out a whole intelligent lifeform, then I become like them. I'd be no better than the Daleks.
Sarah-Jane: Think of all the suffering there'll be if you don't do it.
The Doctor appears.
The Doctor: Do it. The Daleks, they destroy Gallifrey & everything we care about.
4th Doctor: You're me?
Sarah-Jane: A future incarnation?!
Harry: I say!
The Doctor: Just do it! In our future an enemy that you haven't met yet will destroy time! The timelines needs to collapse in on themselves to make a new stable one, doing this is the only way to save reality.
4th Doctor: But what about us?
The Doctor: Another timeline will be created, a timeline where you destroy The Daleks at their genesis.
4th Doctor: A branched timeline?
The Doctor: Yes.
4th Doctor: Ah.
The Doctor: I've seen it, you do this & you loose Sarah-Jane & Harry before regenerating on Gallifrey into a man who calls him 'The Warrior',
None of this will matter because it's locked in. I've seen it, you get to meet Narvin & Romana a bit earlier though!
4th Doctor: Who?
The Doctor: Never mind, now touch the two wires together, save the day, like we always do
The 4th Doctor touches the wires together, the incubation chamber explodes.
A white light flashes.
On Gallifrey:
The fight continues, Romana takes a necklace out of her pocket.
Romana: Mutually assured destruction.
Narvin: What?
Romana: A warp star. I could wipe out every single life form in this planet.
Narvin: At what cost?
Romana: At saving Gallifrey.
Narvin: But you can't!
Romana: What other choice do we have?! Take Leela, take a battle TARDIS & run!
Narvin: I am not leaving you!
Leela: We will not leave you here to burn!
Romana: Oh for goodness sake just go! This is it for me! This is where my life ends! As the high priestess of Gallifrey, it is my duty!
Narvin: But it's not!
Romana: Now for goodness sake, run.
In the hanger:
Leela & Narvin run in.
Leela: We have to go back!
Narvin: We can't.
Leela: We're not leaving her!
Narvin: You heard her! This is a time to listen to Romana as a commander, not a friend.
Leela: Which one?
Narvin: Any.
Leela: Ok.
They enter a battle TARDIS.
In the battle TARDIS:
Narvin: I'll send us to the time vortex, reach a point of safety until we know where to settle down.
Leela: I could stop you right now. I could take a janus thorn & stab you in the shoulder blade.
Narvin: Go on then.
Leela looks down.
On Gallifrey:
Romana: I am Romanadvoratrelundar of Gallifrey, the high priestess. I command this wae to come to a halt otherwise I will use this warp star to wipe out every single life form on this planet.
Dalek Supreme: We will not back down!
Kraal 1: Kill them all!
Dalek Supreme: Maximum extermination!
Romana: Well then... I guess we're all go go up in flames, like burning stars.
In the hanger:
The battle TARDIS dematerialises.
On Gallifrey:
Romana ties the warp Star around her neck & puts her arms out.
Romana: Good luck, Doctor.
Supreme Dalek: Maximum extermination'
She screams as The Daleks exterminate her, the warp star explodes as a darkness floods all of Gallifrey.
In the prison:
The darkness floods Cordelia & Sil's cell as their skin is ripped away from their bodies, they scream.
A darkness floods a screen.
Gallifrey, the wasteland:
The battle TARDIS materialises, Leela & Narvin step out.
Leela: Everything is gone.
Narvin: Everything dies eventually Leela.
Leela: Contact The Doctor's type 40.
Narvin pulls out a communication device.
Narvin: No answer. I shall leave a message instead.
He clears his throat.
-Doctor, Gallifrey, the time war, it's over, but we won, sort of. Romana she used a warp star & destroyed every single form of life on this planet, Leela & I got away but Romana, she didn't make it, The Master tried to help but they didn't make it either. I am all that's left of The Timelords now, We'll send you coordinates so you can find us.
Leela cries.
Leela: Narvin!
Leela picks up a headdress similar to that of Romana's.
Narvin: She did what she thought was necessary.
Leela: At the cost of her life.
She wipes her tears.
-What should we do now?
Narvin: We can't stay here, the radiation levels from the warp star are too high, we're risking our lives just to be here. We should go.
Leela: Goodbye Romana.
Leela kisses her hand & touches Romana's head & walks away & gets into the battle TARDIS, Narvin gets into the battle TARDIS also, it dematerialises.
The Valeyard: (voice) This is how it ends,
How it always ends, everything dies eventually, the story of life goes on & on & so does the story, never ending, never dying.

Alex: I'm here I'm safe!
Rick: Did the timeline reset work?!
The Doctor: Yes... it did... although I did kind of create a branched timeline in the multiverse but they'll get over it.
Alex: So is time fixed?
The Doctor: Checking for temporal damages...
She smiles
-Nothing. But we do have a message!
She presses a button
Narvin: Doctor, Gallifrey, the time war, it's over, but we won, sort of. Romana she used a warp star & destroyed every single form of life on this planet, Leela & I got away but Romana, she didn't make it, The Master tried to help but they didn't make it either. I am all that's left of The Timelords now, We'll send you coordinates so you can find us.
The Doctor: That's weird, I can't find the coordinates, in fact the coordinates are not of N-Space origin...
Alex: What?!
The Doctor: We're in a completely different region of space.
Rick: What'd you mean?
The Doctor: Welcome to E-Space.

The Doctor will return on Christmas Day in 'The Demon Elves Of Festavia'
