6.4 - To Kill A Timelord

In A Lab:
Dr Alfar: Genetic duplicate prepared.
A chamber opens to reveal a man floating in a tank.
-Age finally at 847, almost exactly how he was when he left E-Space!
She laughs.
-It's nearly complete!
She takes her glasses off.
-The Doctor is reborn!
She walks away to reveal a duplicate of the 5th Doctor floating in the tank.

In space:
A ship flies into a space station.
In The Alzarius Cooperation:
In a room:
A man hands the evil 5 a pile of clothes.
On corridor 510:
A guard walks him down a corridor, now dressed in 5's outfit.
Gage: Welcome to the Alzarius Cooperation.
Evil 5: My purpose?
Gage: Yes, all will be revealed in time.
In the lab:
Dr Alfar takes blood from Evil 5.
Evil 5: What is the blood for?
Dr Alfar: We need to take blood from you so we can monitor your body and understand the concept of a Timelord.
She lifts up his shirt & puts a stethoscope on his chest and checks for beats.
-Interesting, only one heart.
She grabs a gun from her pocket.
-I'm sorry, but you're not a Timelord, but a failed experiment.
She shoots him, he falls.
-Our experiments will continue until we have a real genetically engineered Timelord! And then the true purpose of The Alzarius Cooperation will be unveiled! And I... I, Idric will have what I have yearned for for all these years!
She smiles.
5 years later:
In the TARDIS:
The Doctor walks around the console, Eve comes in.
Eve: Hey.
The Doctor smiles.
The Doctor: Morning.
Eve: What you up to?
The Doctor: Checking for a CVE.
Eve: So once you have a CVE, what happens to me?
The Doctor: What'd you mean?
Eve: Both Chaos-Major & Chaos-Minor have been destroyed, I've got no home anymore, Doctor.
The Doctor: I could maybe find you somewhere... or-
Eve: Or?
The Doctor: You come back to my region of space with me.
Eve: Hang on so you want me to stay with you in the TARDIS?
The Doctor: Well, yeah. I-if you want to that is.
Eve: I'd love to! But as soon as we get there we should search for Serena.
The Doctor: Eve, I can't be sure that Serena is in N-Space, she could've gone to any other region of space, even an alternate reality, or...
Eve: Or what?
The Doctor: She could be trapped in the void...
Eve: She can't, Chaos Witches can't get trapped in the void, it's impossible in our biology.
The Doctor: That's a good thing I guess.
Eve: Doctor... just know that she's not a villain, she's hurting, she's lashing out, the book of the damned corrupted her and took everything she was away and replaced her with this evil cold entity.
The Doctor: I know. Right! Shall we materialise?!
Eve: Sure.
The Doctor pulls a lever.
In The Alzarius Cooperation:
The TARDIS materialises, The Doctor & Eve step out.
Eve: We're indoors!
The Doctor: Yep!
Eve: How? We're surrounded by walls.
The Doctor: Yeah... Timelord technology.
Eve: Oh right.
The Doctor: Anywho, that sign...
Eve: The Alzarius Cooperation?
The Doctor: Yes.
Eve: What about it?
The Doctor: What is it?
Eve: The intergalactic law of E-Space.
The Doctor: Oh.
Eve: Do you not have something like that in your region of space or is everyone an outlaw?
The Doctor: We have The Shadow Proclamation.
Eve: Sounds ominous.
The Doctor: It's not.
Eve: That's good I guess, anyway what's so surprising about this place?
The Doctor: I had a friend from Alzarius... Adric, he died saving the earth, this planet in N-Space, there was this race called The Cybermen, the ship was going to crash on Earth and change history, but he blew up the ship, stopping them, but he lost his life in the process.
Eve: I'm sorry.
The Doctor: Ah well it was a long long time ago, about 12 faces ago.
Eve: Twelve?! How old are you?! 
The Doctor: I've lost track.
Eve: Oh.
The Doctor: Anyway, How can Alzarius be built up to be a massive cooperation? It was a small backwater planet that has primitive technology and grass and water everywhere.
Eve: You clearly haven't been there for a long time.
The Doctor: No.
Eve: It's changed, it's now this built up city.
The Doctor: Dear god.
Eve: Presided over by the King Of Alzarius.
The Doctor: King?
Eve: Yeah... I wouldn't call it that.
The Doctor: What would you call it?
Eve: A pathetic AI, the whole planet was crafted by an algorithm, it drew up the plans and the city was 3D printed.
The Doctor: But that makes no sense, The Alzarius Cooperation it's not actually on Alzarius.
Eve: I know, we're in a space station floating through space, a dying space station, I can feel it.
The Doctor: I have a bad feeling about this place, come on.
They leave.
Gage: Yes, but Cardi, you yourself have proven this experiment is unethical, it's a simple revenge scheme, it must be stopped!
Alfar: You do not talk down to me, Gage!
Gage: Cardi! Don't you see?! You've grown a fully functioning body! And then killed it and then cloned it and grown 100s of more embryos! Every time this... this abomination messes up, you order execution.
Alfar: The experiment must be perfected before we are able to kill him!
Gage: You're an idiot, you know they're immortal.
Alfar: Which is exactly why I am growing these clones! To search for a way of killing The Doctor!
The Doctor gasps.
Eve: We need to go.
The Doctor: No.
Alfar: Who are you?!
The Doctor: HR, I'm Joanna, this is my work experience intern, Evie, we've been informed that there may be some unethical experiments taking place on this space station.
Alfar: Please, follow me.
They follow Alfar.
In the lab:
They enter.
The Doctor: Some privacy, perhaps.
Alfar: I can't ac-
The Doctor: Please.
Alfar: Sure.
Alfar leaves.
The Doctor: Oh my.
Eve: What? What is it?
The Doctor: Eve... the body they were growing, it's a copy of my 5th incarnation.
Eve: You mean that's one of your old faces?
The Doctor: Yes.
Eve: So they're growing a copy of you to find a way to kill you?
The Doctor: Yes.
Eve: But why does she want revenge? What have you done?
The Doctor: I don't know, I want to know, I need to know!
The Doctor clenches her teeth.
-I don't even know what kills me, but if some mad scientist discovers before I do, I could die and the universe could be thrown to the wolves and that could spell the end of everything.
Eve: Dark forces are at play here, Doctor.
The Doctor: Do you not think I know that?! I need to be careful, if I die and don't return to N-Space, Serena destroys really, the Daleks they gain control over the entire cosmos, the Cybermen will mass-convert planets and their people, The Sontaran & Rutan war will rage across the galaxy until there is nothing left, I can't let that happen.
Eve: We need to destroy the Embryos and that body.
The Doctor: Yeah.
The Doctor sees a video playing of Adric, Nyssa & Tegan dancing at a party.
-A time scope. Adric... why Adric?
The Doctor goes over to a cabinet containing personnel files, she roots through them and takes one out labelled 'Cardi Alfar'.
-Parents... parents... mother, project: Genesys, father... oh.
Eve: Doctor? Doctor?! What is it?!
The Doctor: Adric Of Alzarius... oh no.
Eve: You mean she's Adric's daughter?! And she wants revenge because...
The Doctor: She must think I'm to blame for Adric's passing.
Eve: Oh god, we need to destroy these genetically engineered copies of you and go.
The Doctor: No... we do this and we flee E-Space.
Eve: You mean go to your region of space?!
The Doctor: Yes.
Eve: You haven't even asked my thoughts on this!
The Doctor: You're an associate of me now, Eve. I'm sorry but this puts your life in danger.
Eve: I'm a Witch Of Chaos, I think I'll manage fine, thank you.
The Doctor: It wasn't a question, it was an order.
Eve: Oh, really? Sorry you've known me for 5 minutes, I'm not gonna go joyriding in your TARDIS!
The Doctor: If you care about your life you will, also you're the only person who can defeat Serena.
Eve: And we don't even know where she is!
The Doctor: When she forced open that CVE, I saw a planet, a planet I recognised.
Eve: Fine.
The Doctor: Don't be like this, please.
Eve: No, it's fine I get it.
The Doctor: I'm sorry if I sounded rude or forceful it's just we're both in grave danger, if we don't leave now, it's game over for both of us and I can't let that happen.
Eve: I know. How do we even flee from here? We're stuck in this region of space.
The Doctor: Before I met you, this old enemy of mine, he was stuck here and he used a whirlpool turbine to open a CVE and go back to our region of space.
Eve: Ok?
The Doctor: It might still be there, I don't know but it's worth the try, right?
Eve: Yeah.
The Doctor: The only issue is that the only thing that can power the turbine is a person.
Eve: Ok, that's fine.
The Doctor: I'm not letting you use it, it'll kill you.
Eve: Ok.
The Doctor: Eve...
Eve: No it's fine, I'll do it.
The Doctor: No! I'm not asking this of you!
Eve: I know, but I think we might be able to cheat.
She creates a white globe of energy in her hand.
-Chaos magic.
The Doctor smiles.
The Doctor: Chaos magic.
The Doctor presses a red button as a fire ignites inside of the fridge of embryos.
-Now.
The Doctor holds her sonic up preparing to shatter the tank, the duplicates eyes open.
-No, please don't look into my soul like this.
The Duplicate nods.
-You want me to do it?
The Duplicate nods again.
-Ok.
The Doctor presses the button on the sonic as the tank shatters, the duplicate stands up.
5: Hello.
The Doctor: Hello.
5: This is strange.
The Doctor: Quite.
The doors open, Alfar screams.
Alfar: What are you doing?!
The Doctor: Change of plan, let's talk instead, so... daughter of Adric, what do you want?
Alfar: You know?
The Doctor: I know everything. Now, let us go, we are leaving! At once!
Alfar: Please do.
The Doctor: Don't think I don't remember what you've done... every single time.
They run, Alfar takes a walkie talkie from her belt.
Alfar: Gage?
Gage: Copy, Ma'm.
Alfar: When they leave, kill them.
In the TARDIS:
The TARDIS begins to dematerialise.
5: You've redecorated.
The Doctor: Yep!
5: I don't like it.
The Doctor: I'm not surprised.
5: Hm.
Eve: So... what are you gonna do about evil twin?
The Doctor laughs, 5 tilts his head.
The Doctor: Sorry. Um, I honestly don't know.
Eve: Surely he's an illegal experiment right?
The Doctor: Yes but my planet, it's dead, I can't leave him there.
Eve: Can he regenerate? Does he have two hearts, like you?
5: No.
Eve turns.
-I may be able to live to at least 500, but after that, nothing.
Eve: I'm sorry.
5: So am I, I'm sorry I even exist.
The Doctor: Hey, do not talk like that, there's two of us now, you know what that means.
5: We share the one brain cell?
They laugh.
The Doctor: Yeah. Right! I think we should be near this spacecraft by now.
The Doctor approaches the console, suddenly the TARDIS console explodes.
The Doctor: What?!
Eve: Doctor!
They look on the screen to see a ship shooting at them.
The Doctor: No! No! No!
Eve: The Alzarius Cooperation, they're going to kill us, all of us.
5: Just me & you, Eve.
The TARDIS begins to fall through space.
On a planet:
The TARDIS crashes in a ditch, The Door opens, The Doctor pokes her head out, 5 & Eve look up.
The Doctor: Where are we?
Eve: Look.
They see an Alzariun symbol.
The Doctor: What?
Eve: We're on Alzarius.

NEXT TIME:
Eve: So... do I call you The Doctor too?
5: I mean... I'm not The Doctor, am I? I'm only a carbon copy.
The Doctor wakes up in a room with blue laser lights flashing, she rubs her head. She looks around her and begins to hyperventilate, she gets up and runs down a corridor, a door slides open.
Gage: Going somewhere?
The Doctor wakes up in an office.
The Doctor: Ok... change of scenery.
Alfar: Good morning!
The Doctor: Oh... Cardi, you're alive.
Alfar: Of course I am.
The Doctor: So... what is this place?
Alfar: This is the centre point of Alzarius.
