3.4 - The Dalsey Murder

Davros: PREVIOUSLY ON DOCTOR WHO:
The Doctor: Back in the Davros tower, in hell when I went back in, it wasn't to have it out with Davros.
Ashley: Then what was it for?
The Doctor: It was to avenge Becca's death.
Ashley: What?
The Doctor: I thought I'd killed Davros.
Ashley: Ok.
The Doctor: That wasn't the end of it.
Ashley: How do you mean Doctor?
The Doctor: I shot Molly, because of that, that was the reason why she did what she did with the sleep chamber & the Neo chamber.
Ashley: So your telling me Ashley nearly died because of your selfishness.
The Doctor: Ashley!
The Doctor hugs Ashley, She pushes him off.
Ashley: You murderer.
The Doctor: Know what?
Davros: That your little friend, Ashley here.
Ashley: What?
The Doctor: What is it Davros?
Davros: She's a killer.
The Doctor: What?
Davros pushes a button on his console, playing an video above him.
Ashley: You want power, I'll give it to you.
Ashley turns the buttons up to full power, Molly screams, Ashley runs away.
Neo: Make it stop!
Ashley continues to run.
Molly: No!
Neo: No!
Neo screams, Ashley gets out of the lab, she looks on as it makes a purple explosion.
The Doctor looks at Ashley in horror.
Ashley: Doctor, you have to understand-
The Doctor: No!
Ashley: You killed people too!
Intro
The TARDIS materialises outside of a base, Ashley steps out.
Ashley: Wow. For once you got the right place.
The Doctor steps out.
The Doctor: Good.
The Doctor walks away.
Ashley: Or you could wait?!
The Doctor: No thanks.
The Doctor continues to walk, Ashley runs up to him.
Inside the UNIT base:
Osgood: Great! Your both here!
Ashley smiles.
-Sorry, have we caught you at a bad time.
Ashley: No, Not a-
The Doctor: Yeah.
Osgood: Right, well Major Dalsey was murdered last night at 800 hours exactly.
Ashley: Right, what was it.
Osgood: That's the weird thing, You see-
Kate appears.
Kate: We can't identify the cause of death.
The Doctor: What not even a cardiac arrest?
Ashley: Or a heart attack?
Kate: No, not at all.
Kate looks at Ashley.
-So Doctor We thought we'd get you on board with us.
The Doctor: I'm the Doctor.
Kate: Sorry?
The Doctor: I'm the Doctor.
Kate: Oh, well I assumed as last time I heard you were a blonde woman from up north.
Ashley: Doctor, what's she on about?
Osgood: Oh, as you know the Doctor can change his face, also his gender.
Ashley: You were a woman?
The Doctor: Alright, don't rub it in!
Ashley: I don't intend too! Each to their own.
Kate: Right, so shall we return to the scene of the crime?
Ashley: Sure, that'd be the best place to start.
The Doctor smiles sarcastically at Ashley.
The Doctor: Wouldn't it just.
Becca appears.
Becca: He'll forgive you eventually, don't worry.
Becca disappears.
Inside the morgue:
Ashley: How old was he?
Kate: 85.
Ashley: So, it could be a heart attack?
The Doctor: Ashley, Kate has already said that there was NO cause of death.
Ashley: Alright! There's no harm in asking! Is there?!
Osgood: Oh dear, we really have caught you both at a bad time, haven't we?
The Doctor: Yeah.
Osgood: Tell you what, Ashley your a teacher aren't you?
Ashley: Teaching assistant yeah.
Osgood: You any good with science?
Ashley: I'm good with cells & I know my way around a Bunsen burner.
Osgood: Great! Come on, you can help me look to see if there's any sort of mutation.
Ashley: Ok.
Osgood & Ashley leave.
The Doctor sonics Major Dalsey, he looks at the sonic.
Kate: Well?
The Doctor: It seems to be a mix of potassium chloride & a euthanasia drug.
Kate: That's what killed him?
The Doctor: It seems, yes.
Kate sees something go through Major Dalsey's arm.
Kate: What on earth?
The Doctor: What is it?
Kate: I saw something flash up his arm.
The Doctor sonics the corpse again.
The Doctor: Scanning for life signs-
The Doctor looks at his sonic again.
-There's something inside of him. Pass me that scalpel.
Kate picks up a scalpel & hands it to The Doctor, The Doctor cuts into Dalsey's arm, he sees something & grabs it.
Kate: What is it?!
The Doctor sonics it.
The Doctor: It's made of potassium chloride & Pancuronium bromide.
Kate: The Lethal injection used for death row that they use in Texas & other states of the USA, has it got a genetic structure?
The Doctor sonics it.
The Doctor: Yeah.
Kate gulps.
Kate: What is it?
The Doctor: I'm sorry.
Kate: Doctor?
In the lab:
Ashley is looking through a microscope at a cell.
Ashley: This is an animal cell yeah?
Osgood: Yes, it is.
Ashley: Then why has it not got a Nucleus, but it has a vacuole.
Osgood: What?
Ashley: Look.
Ashley move away, Osgood looks into the microscope.
Osgood: Cell membrane, Lysosome, Mitochondrion-
Osgood looks up.
-Your right, there's no Nucleus, but there's a vacuole.
Ashley: What is it?
Osgood: I think I've seen something like this before.
Ashley: What? Where?!
Osgood opens a box, it is labelled Truth or Consequences, she takes out a Petri dish & places it under the microscope, Ashley looks into it.
Ashley: Also no Nucleus & it has a vacuole, what is it?
Osgood: A Zygon cell.
Ashley: Zygon? I've heard that before.
Osgood: 2015.
Ashley: Yeah, those shapeshifter things.
Osgood: That's it.
Kate & The Doctor enter the room.
The Doctor: It's the Zygons!
Kolbert: Yes, It is.
They all turn.
The Doctor: & you are?
Kolbert forms into a Zygon, Ashley gasps.
Kate: Why did you kill Major Dalsey?!
Kolbert; The founder of the Zygons, he became to human.
Osgood: What?
The Doctor: What she said.
Kolbert: He created a serum which completely erases all Zygon DNA, you would know, wouldn't you Osgood?
Osgood: What?
Kolbert: You are a Zygon.
Osgood: What?! What do you mean?!
Kolbert: You were injected with the serum as a test subject.
Osgood: You mean, the other me, is human?
Kolbert: Precisely.
Another Osgood enters the room.
Osgood: I am Osgood, I'm going to need myself back now.
Osgood points a device at the Zygon Osgood, it zaps her, returning her to her Zygon form.
Kolbert: This base has been programmed to be blown apart if our plan was ever discovered.
Monitor: INITIATING SELF-DESTRUCT!
An alarm sounds.
Ashley: Oh my good.
Becca appears, The Doctor, Kate & Osgood run.
Becca: You'd better run girl
Becca disappears.
The Doctor: Ashley! Come on!
Ashley: Doctor!
The Doctor: What?!
Ashley: I've been seeing Becca.
The Doctor: What?
Ashley: I keep seeing her! Everywhere we go!
The Doctor: You mean, you've been hallucinating?
Ashley: I think there's something wrong with me.
The Doctor notices that Ashley is sweating excessively, Becca appears.
Becca: Run, or you'll die!
Ashley: I'm not leaving you!
The Doctor: Ashley?!
Becca: I'll always be here! I'll never die Ash!
Becca disappears.
The Doctor: Come on!
The Doctor & Becca run.
Outside of the UNIT base:
The Doctor & Ashley get out just as the base explodes.
Kate: Is everyone ok?
Osgood: It seems!
Ashley: I need help! I see that now!
The Doctor: Ashley, go & wait in the TARDIS, I'll be in in a minuet.
Ashley: Ok.
Ashley walks away.
Kate: You two ok now?
The Doctor: Is that what I do to those I travel with, I mess them up, how long will it go on for? Rose is trapped in another world, Martha's a solider, Donna doesn't even know Aliens exist, Amy & Rory are trapped in the past, Bill & Nardole are dead & well everyone else I've ever met, I've ruined them.
Kate: Osgood & I, we're fine aren't we?
Osgood: Yeah, we are!
The Doctor smiles.
The Doctor: See you.
Both: Bye.
The Doctor walks away & enters the TARDIS.
In the TARDIS:
Ashley: Take me to hospital.
The Doctor: What?
Ashley: I need help.
The Doctor: Ok.
The Doctor pulls down the lever.

NEXT TIME:
Ashley walks through A street, a hooded man rushes past her.
Ashley: Watch it!
Another Four men rush past her, she falls.
-Now I know what I liked about being in hospital.
Ashley looks Around.
-No, no! Don't even think about it! Well maybe one little look.
Ashley follows the men down a dark alleyway where she sees a man with a pig head with big black eyes having a bag put over its head.
-What the hell?!
Corson: Ace! We've had reports of unauthorised people in the lower levels!
Ace: Come on.
Krytzo: You shouldn't be here!
