Ahhh! I passed! I am officially a LA firefighter and paramedic!! I was top of my class and I got assigned to 118! My instructor says they requested to have me. I start soon! I'm really excited about this.
But with this job starts a new beginning of my life. And with a new beginning I feel like I should not start off with any secrets. It's time I tell Bobby Im his daughter! I feel like I'm ready to do this and I want to do this.
I'm currently sitting outside of the 118 firehouse. I take a deep breath before I get out of my car and heading to the building. You can do this Alyssa, you can do this! When I get inside I notice Hen restocking some stuff on one of the trucks.
"Hey Hen" I say and she smiles
"Hey Alyssa, congratulations! I'm so excited you're gonna be joining the 118" she says
"Thanks, i'm really excited. Um I was wondering if Cap was here" I asks her and she nods
"Yes, he is in his office doing paperwork. We just got back from a call and usually after the call he hast to fill out paperwork about it" she says and I nod
"Can you take me to his office, I need to talk to him" I say and she looks at me
"Sure but if you don't mind me asking is everything ok? Please say you're not leaving 118 to go to a different house" she says with a panic at the end
"What, no I don't plan on leaving and I don't want to! I feel like I'm gonna fit in perfectly here at 118. I just have some questions I wanna ask him about the job and shift" I say and she nods
"Please never do, I'm really excited that you're going to be working here" she says and and takes me to captains office
"I'm excited too, just think about this I start in two more days" I say and she smiles
"I know and and I can't wait" she says
"Here is captains office, I recommend knocking before you enter. He gets mad if you answer without knocking and it's a lame answer. Only answer without knocking if somethings serious is happening" she says and I nod
"Ok thank you" I say
"I have to go finish restocking the truck but when you're done if you need anything I'll be out there" she says, as she starts walking away and I nod
I take a deep breath before I knock at the door. I knock on the door and I wait for an answer
"Come in" I hear him say and I enter
"Hey Alyssa, what are you doing here" he says
"Hey cap, sorry if I'm disturbing you from your work. I came here to talk to you about some thing" I say and I see small concern on his face
"Your not and what do you wanna talk to me about" he asks
"So I was planning on telling you at some point but since I got this job I kinda wanna have a fresh start with my life. Which means no more hiding secrets. I lied to you" I say and his Face reads slightly concerned, A little bit angry but also very curious.
"What do you mean? What was the lie" he asks me
"Everything, for starters my name is not Alyssa Green" I say and he look shocked
"Who are you really then" he asks me. I take a deep breath before I tell him. Here it goes..
"Hi, My name is Alyssa Marie Nash. My father always called me little Nash. I was kidnapped when I was little, finally got free when I was 19. I'm looking for my family only to find out that they're gone. But I recently found out one of them is still alive. Hello Dad" I say, Little Nash was a nickname he always called me when I was little up until when I was taken.
