Chapter eleven

A/N: towards the end of this chapter Alyssa opens up to her father about her kidnapping days. If you don't want to read it read half of the chapter!!⚠️

Alyssa Pov

It's been two days since Eddie asked me to be his girlfriend! Things are going good. Except we haven't told anyone yet, no one knows we are girlfriend and boyfriend. No one knows we went on a date except Hen and we told her not to tell anyone. I told Eddie I want to wait a little bit before we tell anyone!

We actually went on our second date yesterday. We went on a little breakfast date before our shifts yesterday. He took me to a real nice café and we got some breakfast. Even though it wasn't anything fancy and we were in our work clothes we both still think of it as a date. He even got me a bracelet that has a little charm on it that says forever and always. It means a lot to me! I only wear the bracelet when I'm not at the firehouse, on a shift, around my dad or anyone else besides Eddie.

"Morning Dad" I say walking into the firehouse on a nice morning

"Morning little Nash" he says and I smile. I head into the locker room, put my bag away and get ready for the shift.

"Hey Nash" I hear Eddie says walking into the locker room and over to me

"Hey Diaz" I say with a smirk, he looks around and see no and kisses me

"I thought we said no kissing at work" I ask him

"When no one's around I can" he says smiling and I laugh

"I'm going to work out, wanna join? I could give you some tips" he ask me and I nod

"Sure, I didn't go for a run this morning! It was my first day my dad's apartment. I need to do some type of exercise or I'm gonna feel down about myself" I say and he nods. We walk over to the workout area and he's starts giving me some tips and advice.

I work on lifting weights when I see Taylor Kelly walk into the fire house with her cameraman which looks like he's filming. I don't wanna be filmed if he is. I see my father approach her and her cameraman

"Excuse me"

"Captain Nash, I'm Taylor Kelly, we met the other day" she says

"I know who you are, Ms Kelly. I just don't understand what you're doing here. Please don't film in here" my father says slightly annoyed

"Uh why not" she ask and I look at Eddie. He gives me the what the heck is going on look

"Because it's rude" my father says

"Oh they didn't call you yet" she says

"Who"

"Captain, Chiefs office on the line" One of my coworkers say calling my dad over

"What they heck is she doing here" I ask Eddie and more of a whisper

"I don't know but I don't really like it at all" he says and I nod.

"How are you feeling? Any side effects after the crash" I ask her as I walk over to her slowly and Eddie follows right behind me

"Fine, thanks to all of you! Which is why I'm here. You guys are so amazing especially you Alyssa" she says pointing me out at the end. I know I'm not amazing

"I want to do a story on this fire house and on the heroes who work here" she says smiling at the end! I don't like this at all and I'm definitely not gonna be filmed

"Yeah but you do traffic" Chim asks her

" i'm not quite ready to go back in the sky, so I thought I try my hand at telling the story from the ground" she says smiling
