Alyssa Pov

Today is the day I go back to the 118, I sadly found out bucks not going back today also turns out there was a little incident a little while after I got off the phone with Athena. He's doing better which is a good thing but he is mad that he can't return to work.

I don't start my shift until late in the afternoon. I decided to spend my morning down by the pier, I like spending time by the ocean. It's just so relaxing but it's also a beautiful day outside. I'm currently wearing some shorts and a T-shirt but underneath a swimsuit. I never wear bikinis cause I'm very insecure about my body. I also don't wanna get hit on, last time I wore a bikini I ended up getting hit on by a couple of guys at the beach.

But I have that feeling again like I had when we had that earthquake like something bad's gonna happen again. I hate this feeling!

Eddie told me that he's going to be having buck Watch Christopher today, mostly because I've been watching Chris this past couple of days and Carla is currently on vacation with her family. And since I go back to work today I can't watch him. Can it just be the time I have to go to the firehouse already! Eddie told me when he sees me later he's gonna give me the biggest kiss. Our first ever kiss in front of everyone at the fire house and not hiding when no one's around.

I put in my earbuds and it listen to some music for a while and just chill on the beach until I hear commotion of people. I noticed the water is starting to go out to sea, that's not good. I quickly put my towel back in my bag grab my phone and bag and head up to the boardwalk. It's a tsunami and it's coming for the city!

I dropped my bag and I just run, there's nothing important in my bag and it's an old bag to begin with. I run as fast as my legs can take me which makes me think of when I was escaping from Nicolas.

Speaking of Nicola's, that message I got at Athena's place I know it was him. When I was forced to live with him and we were forced to date he always called me darling. I hate when peoples call me darling, it brings me back to bad times. I haven't even told anyone about that message, I'm scared too!

I'm running really fast! Thankfully I wore sneakers which might sound stupid, it helps me run faster though which is a good thing. Probably because I'm going right to work after this, it's kind of stupid to go home and then leave again. Thankfully my uniform is in the locker room, since I had to get a new one since my old one was destroyed from the crash

I didn't even make it to the road when the water hit. I try my best to swim but it's hard, my whole body stings which probably means I have scratches all over. I find a pick up truck that looks sturdy and I got on top of it. I look at myself and I realize I have a lot of scratches all over. Now I wait, I wait till it's safe to move or leave.

Eddie Pov

"Any Word on how operation Buck up Buck is going" Hen asks me

"This was this morning, Full stack then I think he said maybe the movies.  By now, Chris has come down from mysterious Sugar high and Buck is regretting his life choices" I say and I see chimney laugh

"Hey did someone leave a hydrant open" Bobby says as we realize we're stepping in A couple inches of water. Then I feel my phone buzz

"I don't think it's a hydrant cap" I say looking at the alert I just got on my phone

"Call Alyssa, tell her to start getting ready. She's coming in early. We're gonna need all the hands we can get" Bobby says and I nod. I find Alyssa's contact and call her she picks up on the third ring but I can hear a lot of background noise, it could be because of the signals
