Chapter twelve

A month ago Taylor Kelly's video about the 118 aired on tv. It wasn't actually that bad. Thankfully I wasn't in any videos or shots. Apparently while she was editing the chief requested to see the documentary before it aired to make sure there was no video or shots of me in it. Since I had to go into small detail about why I couldn't be on the news channel.

I also am back to work a day after it aired. They gave me an extra day off just in case. But it was only one day until I went back on leave. I am taking some time off because ever since I opened up to my dad about everything I've been feeling really down and just not myself. So for my safety and my dad agreed with this  is that I take more time off and I return whenever I feel ready. My dad says that my spot is always there waiting for me when I want to return. I do still visit here and there. I will return just soon when I'm ready

I've been spending my free time babysitting more and getting to know Athena's kids. The day after Taylor Kelly's report aired on TV was May homecoming dance. they had a little get together before and they invited me since I grew closer with May these past couple of weeks. I could tell my dad was sad being there but he was trying not to show it since he never got to experience any of this with me. We got to get a couple of pictures with May. I got a picture of just me and May that I put in a picture frame. I also got a picture of me, my dad, Michael, Athena, May and Harry. I am known for putting special moments that were taken with pictures and picture frames. It was like a big family picture. But one picture May really wanted to take was with me. I'm also trying to get closer with Athena's kids because I have a high feeling that they're going to become my stepsiblings, I can tell that my dad wants to marry Athena eventually and I can see it happening.

I've also been spending a lot of time with Christopher and he's starting to really like me. Eddie tells me that he talks about me a lot and always wants me to come over. Me and Eddie have grown closer this past month. We actually just celebrated our one month together, he took me to a nice fancy restaurant. We did almost get caught by Buck, turns out he was ordering takeout from the restaurant we went to. Thankfully we still had our menus and we were able to hide our faces. We haven't told Chris yet that me and Eddie are together. We haven't even told anyone, so I made a deal with Eddie and he agreed with this deal. Deal is if we're still together by Christmas then we will tell everyone on Christmas that we're together. Which I hope we're still together by Christmas. At least it's not a long time since Halloween is right around the corner. Me and Eddie we're planning on dressing up similar this year but we decided since we haven't told anyone we're together that we shouldn't dress up similar. I haven't told anyone my costume yet and I hope they like it. I'm spending my Halloween with Eddie and Christopher and going trick-or-treating with them, Carla is also joining us and me and her have become friends. With me not working I also gave Carla time off with Eddie's approval. She works so much for that kid and she deserves some time off.

"Ok what do you think" Christopher says showing me a pumpkin he has attempted to carve which actually looks really good

"It looks perfect" I say, sadly Eddie couldn't join us since he has work today. We planned to do a pumpkin carving day but with his work schedule being long shifts he wasn't able to join us, finding time was not easy. But Carla also joined us to make it hopefully a little more fun and not make Christopher sad

"Oh that looks perfect" Carla says excited and happy

"You dad is gonna love it" I say

"Yeah, I can't wait for Halloween cause then we can go trick-or-treating with him" he says excited. When I told Christopher I was gonna be joining them for trick-or-treating he was really excited.

"Well I'm gonna go put these on the front step, so everyone can see our beautiful creations" I say and he smiles

"I think that's a perfect idea" Carla says. When I come back inside the house I noticed that Christopher is not in the dining room anymore
