Chapter eighteen

Alyssa Pov

I wake up in the same room feeling a little bit better. No one is in the room, where is everyone? How long was I out? I press the nurse button that's on the side of the bed. they come running in a couple seconds later.

"Your awake" the doctor say coming in with two nurses

"Yeah" I say

"How you feeling" she asks me

"Feel like a got a couple of broken ribs" I say

"You do and there starting to look better" she says and I nod

"Well to tell everyone your awake, how about we go for a walk with some help" she says and I nod. The nurses slowly help me up, takes me a few minutes in the room to get the hang of it. There is not any pain in my ankle which is a good sign. My shoulder is sore and I feel the pain definitely in my ribs. It only takes me A minute to get to the lobby. I see everyone but no one sees me except Chris

"Alyssa" Chris yells and make his way over to me which catches everyone's attention. Against me a hug that hurts a little bit but I try not to show it

"Hey buddy" I say and he smiles

"I missed you" he says

"I missed you too" I say trying to hide pain in my voice, I can see Eddie smiling as he's making his way over here

"Ok Chris let give her some air" Eddie says and get Chris to back away

"So how you feeling" Hen asks me

"Ok I guess, still like I mmm" I say in pain at the end

"I'll get you so medicine" the nurse says and I nod

"It will get better" hen says and I nod

"I know it will just in time" I say breathing heavily from pain!

"Can I see Buck" I ask my doctor and she nods. I make my way to Buck room with my doctor help. I see Maddie and Ali the girl who Buck and Eddie saved during the earthquake in the room

"Look who's awake and well" Maddie says

"Awake but not well. Broken ribs not fun" I say in pain

"It's good to see you up and moving Alyssa" Buck says and I smile

"How you feel" I ask him

"I'm ok, not really in any pain" he says

"Lucky" I say and he giggles a little

"Stop, you're gonna make me laugh and I can't laugh" I say fighting the urge to laugh

"Sorry" he says

"We should get you back to your room, you should rest for a while" my doctor says and we head back to my room and I end up falling asleep.

It's been 5 weeks since the incident and I got out of the hospital last week. I've been taking it easy this past week, I am staying out at Athena so I have people to help me. I not in pain anymore just slightly sore.

Today I'm going to Eddie house, I haven't talk to him since the day I woke up. He doesn't know I'm come so I hope he's home. He doesn't have a shift till later. I want to tell him how I feel! I hope he likes it!

I get in my car and drive to his house. It's not a bad drive. Thankfully his car is in the driveway. I sit in my car for a minute before I go to the door. You can do this Alyssa! I get out of my car and knock on the front door and wait for it to open. A couple seconds later Eddie opens the door. He smiles but you can also tell he's confused on who I'm here
