Chapter thirteen 

Alyssa Pov

It's A week till Christmas! Today the fire house is having a toy drive for Christmas but we're also giving out hot chocolate and some Christmas treats that me and my dad made. I still haven't returned to the fire house yet. I've been doing more babysitting these past month. I just need more time. Also Athena has a lead to find Ronald and his son! Turns out they have been laying low for a very long time.

Me and Eddie are also growing stronger except these past couple of weeks I feel like he's been drifting from me. I don't know what happened. I still been spending a lot of time with Christopher recently. Which made Christopher ask me a question that kind of caught me off guard and I still haven't told anyone about it even Eddie

Two weeks ago Christopher asked me if I was ever gonna be with his dad like girlfriend and boyfriend. It really caught me off guard. I didn't know how to answer that question. I basically told him I don't know buddy and he understood that completely. But he also told me that he would love for me and his dad to be together. That melted my heart and made me happy but also really threw me off guard.

Also these past couple of weeks I grew closer with Maddie and May who is Athena's daughter. I'm starting to feel like sisters with both of them. Life is going good I just hope that Aunt gets better with me and Eddie and he doesn't start drifting more for me. Because on Christmas we're going to be telling everyone that we're a couple at Athena and Bobby's Christmas party. I got invited and so did Eddie and Christopher. It's just Athena, my dad, Athena's kids, Micheal and his boyfriend and some people from the 118 Who we're all really close with. We talked about announcing it there because we also didn't know where else to announce it!

I'm really excited for Christmas this year because it will be my first Christmas and a very long time that will be normal. My last couple of Christmases since I got free or just me at my apartment watching Christmas movies and drinking hot chocolate. Didn't really feel like a Christmas to me I just felt like a normal day chilling at home. So I just hope this Christmas is special and is an amazing one!

I walk into the fire house with A couple of trays of treats. Eddie and Buck come over to me to help me since I'm balancing a lot of them right now

"Thank you, thank you" I say and they nod. I fix myself up now since I'm only carrying three trays and not eight. I made a bunch of cookies, cupcakes, brownies and I even made a Christmas cake but a small one not a big one. My dad also made a Christmas cake and he wanted me to make a smaller one just in case the first one went quickly. Buck walks ahead of us and Eddie walks with me

"You excited for Christmas" I ask him and I he nods

"This Christmas I can finally tell the world that I have an amazing girlfriend" he says and I smile

"I'm sorry i've been so distant, I just have a lot going on right now. And I'm hoping the holidays make everything better. I also got you an amazing Christmas gift" he says smiling at the end

"You didn't have to get me anything" I say and he smiles

"No I definitely have to because if I didn't then I would be called A lame and idiot boyfriend once everyone finds out about us" he says and I giggles

"You will definitely not be called any of those" I say as we make our way to the table where the treats well set. They have a couple of tables of treats and then two that have hot chocolate and some of them have water in case people don't want hot chocolate. I got dressed into my work uniform just so I don't feel like the weird one behind the table helping out while the rest of them are wearing their uniforms while they help out. I'm planning on returning to the fire house after Christmas. What people don't know is that my name is on the schedule for the day after Christmas. The amazing thing about having a dad as the captain is I get to see the shift schedule before anyone else does. That schedule doesn't come out until three days before Christmas. I hope set up with the tables and then I stand by the one I was assigned to stand up until I have to move to do some thing else.
