Bucky's POV
Last day here. I thought while I looked at Ginny reading a book under a tree while the rest of the girls played with dolls. Ginny was never one to go hang out with them, she likes to just observe.
"Gin, come here" I yelled
"Coming" she yelled back while putting her book away
"Lets go find Steve"
"Ok"
Time skip to when they found Steve
Ginny's POV
"Is that all you got" some random guy said
"I can do this all day" Steve said as he got punch in the face and fell down.
"Pick on someone your own size" Bucky said as he punch the guy and then kicked him out of the alley.
"You know sometimes I think you like getting punched"
Something on the ground caught my eye. Again. I thought as I picked up the enlistment paper on the ground.
"I had him on the ropes"
"Sure Steve" Bucky said as he helped him up
"How many times is this" I ask while I hold the enlistment paper
"You know its illegal to lie in the enlistment paper and seriously Jersey" Buck said with a hint of disgust at the last part
"You got your orders" Steve said in a bittersweet tone
"Yep Sargent James Barnes in the 107th. Come on we got to get you 2 cleaned up"
"Why, where are we going"
"The future" my brother said excitedly
Time skip to showing up at the expo center
We got there and I just looked around.
"This place is HUGE" I say under my breath as I look at everything
"I dont see what the big deal is Steve. Your about to be the last eligible man in NY"
"You know there's three and a half million women here" I piped up after being quiet for a while
"Id settle for just one" Steve said sadly
"Good thing I took care of that"
I rolled my eyes. I love my brother but he always had to have a girl on his arm. Hopefully this ones nice to me. I thought as we walked up
"What did you tell her about me"
"Only the good stuff"
"Come on its starting" a girl my brother called Dot said as she pulled my brother towards the stage.
As we walked up we saw Howard Stark start his presentation
"What if I told you in a few short years your automobile won't even have to to touch the ground at all" he said while the girls in tiny dresses pulled the wheels off. "With stark gravitic reversion technology its possible" with that the car started to float
"Holy cow" I heard buck say from behind me
Then the car fell to ground with a loud crash
"Come on Steve lets treat these girls to some danc- where did he go" he looked at me
I look around and noticed a recruitment center in the fair.
"I bet he went there" I said as I pointed at it
Bucky rolled his eyes as we made our way over there.
Bucky's POV
We walked up to the center and I saw Steve
"Come on Gin" I said as I made my way up the stairs.
As she follows I walk up to steve and push him
"Again"
"Its a fair, Im gonna try my luck"
"Why steve, you know what if they catch you or worse they actually take you. I mean whay are you so keen to figh-"
"What do you want me to do, pick up scrap metal in my little red wagon"
"Yeah"
"Im not gonna go work in some factory Buck. There are men laying down their lives I have no right to do any less. This isnt about me"
"Yeah cause you got nothing to prove, now come on we are going dancing"
"Ill catch up you go" he said
"Come on girls they're playing our song"
Steves POV
I started making my way to the medical room. I sat down inside and then the nurse whispered something to the doctor and then he left. What if they found out I lied in the enlistment paper five different times. In just a second a guard came in. Oh crap. Then a doctor walked in and motioned out the guard.
"Hello Steven" he said in a accent I didnt know where it was from though.
"Who are you"
"I am Dr. Erskine" he said with an accent I now recognized as german. "Im with the Strategic Scientinfic Reserve or the SSR. Do you want to go kill some nazis"
"Is this a test"
"Uhh yes" he said in a confused tone
"I don't want to kill anyone, but I don't like bullies. I think we need a little guy"
"Well where is the little guy from"
"Uhh-"
"Really"
"Brooklyn" I say hesitant he will rat me out to the police or recruitment officers "What about you"
"Queens. 73rd and Utopia parkway, but before that Germany"he said with a hint of sadness in his voice."Are you in" he asked curious
"Yeah" I said with confidence. Then he stamped an approved sign on my paper and sent me on my way.
Ginnys POV
I saw bucky sitting by himself waiting for steve so I sat next to him
"Wheres Steve" I ask as he looks at me
"I dont know Its been an hour Im getting a little worried about him" as he said that steve walked through the door.
"Holy shit" he said under his breath he didn't cuss much but when me or steve dissapeared or got hurt he didn't care
"We started getting worried about you"I said out of breath from trying to catch up with my brother as he ran ahead and I'm only nine.
