Redemption

Chapter 10. Fresh desicion

  Next morning Kass woke up with the thought of seing Lucius again. Last days events between them were a bit weird. She dag inside of her head all the time, trying to understand her attitude towards Malfoy. He irritated her with his arrogance and constant taunts. But when he came closer, her heart began jumping rapidly like a wild horse and she felt a sweet tension at the bottom of her stomach. She persuaded herself that it was a bullshit. She has to hold at Malfoy manor a few more days. And then she'll get out of here and everything will end.

  Kass calmed down a bit with this thought. She decided to act like nothing happened. This decision seemed the only one which is right. The main thing is that His Majesty Mr.Malfoy wouldn't spoil everything like he used to do. She has no doubts that will happen.

  'If it happens I'll pretend I'm numb and deaf. No more argues' Kass thought.

  In such a mood Kass made her morning routine and went to her wardrobe. She has chosen a long torquise summer dress with deep neckline. It was perfect for today's hot weather. She added massive torquise earings, some mascara and lipgloss. She combed her hair into a messy bun. She looked at the mirror, adjusted her dress and returned to the bedroom to take potions.

  Meanwhile Lucius woke up and was laying on his bed. He heard that Kass woke up and switched the water in her bathroom. He heard the light sound of her steps, when she has been walking around her room singing a song. He realized she was getting dressed.

  Lucius caught himself thinking that the young witch hooked him. She wasn't like typical Gryffindor. She wasn't like anyone at all. Brave and sassy. At the same time she could be soft and caring. This bizarre mixture affected Lucius like datura. He didn't noticed this girl became the closest person ever for him. Closer than anyone in his life. Yes, they argued on nonsense subjects all the time. And he knew that he was wrong at ninety per cent of occasions. Of course, the girl never receives admitting to that fact from him. Lucius liked the way she could protect herself. Moreover, she has a sence of justice, and he admitted that.

   Now Lucius wasn't sure about his feelings to Kass. Maybe there were no feelings at all. He's been alone for a long time. And this young attractive woman appeared. They almost share the same room. So his hormones just ran wild. She'll leave soon. And unnesessary thoughts and weird feelings will go away together with her.

   Lucius was thinking laying on his bed. He forgot to put a barrier on his thoughts.

  "Lucius?" he heard Kass's voice.

  "Good morning" he said. "You shouldn't appear at my doorstep so unexpectedly. What if I am naked? Only if you wanted to see that."

  Kassandra rolled her eyes.

  "Keep dreaming. I came as usual to the time of your potions taking. And you know that. Only if you wanted me to see something" Kass said, copying Lucius's intonation.

   Lucius smirked unvoluntary.

  "You know, I thought I am the toxic one. But no, you beat me" he said.

  "Lucius Abraxas Malfoy. Even the most toxic Basiliscus can't beat you. So, no worries, I won't take the first place from you" Kass said handing him a bottle with potion.

   She smiled.

   "Even me couldn't say it like that" Lucius said grinning.

 Kass looked at Lucius. Now he was smiling sincerely and his eyes were shining. There wasn't usual cold and arrogance in his gaze. He liked such Lucius much more.

 "What are you thinking about, Ms. Jones?" Lucius asked looking into her eyes.

  "I was thinking why won't we go for a walk outside Malfoy manor? You feel better now" she replied.
