Darius began stating the facts, "So, on the plus side, still no Compies around camp, so that is good. On the minus side, raft escape attempt number one, was...um—"

The others finished that statement for him, "Wet."

"Bad."

"Didn't work."

"It wasn't a total disaster," Darius tried to lighten up the mood.

Sammy questioned that statement, though, "Um...we lost our raft, and NEARLY drowned. How is that NOT a disaster?"

Darius tried to prove his point, "We didn't get eaten by dinosaurs?"

Brooklyn stated the obvious, "Don't mean it with offense, Darius, but we're not thinking straight. We're out of options. We tried everything we could possibly think of. Kayaking. Gyrospheres. MORE gyrospheres. Yaz's bad 'find a helicopter and learn to fly it ourselves' plan." She crossed out all of the following as she said them.

Yaz tried to say something back, "Uh huh. And what about, um, Brooklyn's worse 'go back into the tunnels and find a phone' idea?" She crossed that idea out, too. Then, she gave Brooklyn the chalk.

Brooklyn sighed as the took the chalk from Yaz, "Ugh, think. What haven't we tried, yet?"

"I'll just pitch it in one more time," said Kenji.

I told him, "We're not building a human catapult."

Kenji asked, "How would we know it works if we don't try?"

"There has to be a fix. Every problem ALWAYS has a fix," Darius turned to Ben. The only one who hasn't spoken in this conversation, "Ben, what do you think?" No response. "Ben? Hello?"

"Yo, Jungle Boy!" Kenji calls out. Ben FINALLY turns his head and listens. "What do you think?"

Ben didn't know what to say considering he hasn't been listening to the conversation that they have had, "Oh um. Yeah. What you said."

Everyone was in shock of what they all heard Ben say. I asked, "Really? You think a human catapult is the best idea?"

Ben realized what he made the others think, "What, no. That would be ridiculous. Darius is right. Raft is the way to go."

"THANK YOU!" Darius shouted after having some support.

I said, "Fine. Since there's NO OTHER way off the island, raft it is. BUT, if we build another raft, are we just gonna go out to sea and hope NOT to get splashed and sent back because of one of the ocean waves?"

Darius answered, "Um...yeah?"

I replied, "Okay, not to be a total downer, but does anyone remember a time where luck has been on our side? It also took us WEEKS to find another usable fabric for the last one. And even if we DO find a sail, what is going to save us from another killer wave?" No one had an answer as I stated all the facts.

"Ya' know, we could just go to Lookout Point and paraglide our way to Costa Rica. Oh, that would be so dope." Kenji FINALLY said something useful our whole time here.

Sammy asked, "Wait, what's Lookout Point?"

"It's just another pretty lame spot on the island with paragliders on the top of the mountain. I'm gonna guess that Mr. VIP used to go there ALL the time."

Darius pointed out, "Hold up, paragliders? Items literally DESIGNED for the wind?" Everyone cheered at that.

"Hey, we could use THAT as our sail!" Kenji pointed out. Not what everyone was thinking, but it could still work.

"Good idea, Kenji," said Brooklyn.
