As Darius was searching for Ben, he heard rustles in the bushes. Out of it came a Sinoceratops. It lied down, and Darius noticed it's tail. It had one of those quills that attacked Brooklyn. He approached it, and pulled the quill out. The Sino got up and looked at Darius. Then it roared at him, so he ran. He nearly fell off a cliff trying to escape, but he managed to get up. Then he noticed that the cliff was falling, too. He was about to fall, but he felt a hand grip onto his. He looked up and found the boy he was looking for. "What the heck are you doing?" he asks.
Darius answers, "I'm here to save your life." Ben helped him up, and then walked away. Without realizing that Ben payed NO attention, Darius started talking, "Okay, let's go. If we leave now, we'll be there WAY before sunrise." Ben wasn't listening. He continued walking. "Uh Ben. The boat's back that way." He kept walking the same direction. "Ben? Hello! Are you even listening?" Ben paid NO heed to Darius and proceeded to walk forward. "Ben, stop." This time, he ACTUALLY listened and stopped. He looked at Darius. "Look, I know you're worried. Bumpy could be anywhere."
"Exactly!" Ben started proving Darius's point, "She could be RIGHT where the Scorpius Rex is. I gotta get to her before IT does. If you wanna go to the boat, then go. No one's stopping you."
Back into the forest, the rest of us were searching for that tree with a missing bark. No one found anything. Brooklyn requested, "Hey guys. Can we take a water break? I am feeling kind of tired." We allowed her to do so. Sammy placed her against a rock, and she began drinking.
I asked, "Better?"
"I hope," Brooklyn answered.
"Way to be prepared," Sammy encouraged Kenji again, giving him a playful punch. The three of us backed up.
Kenji whispered, "If she is gonna keep encouraging us, I'm gonna lose it."
"Me too," Yaz whispered back.
I called out, "Sammy, can we chat for a minute?"
Sammy agreed, "Sure. I'll be right back." She walked towards us and asked, "What's up, camp fam?"
I told her, "Look, I don't know WHY you're acting like this, but you HAVE to STOP."
Sammy looked confused, "What are you talking about?"
Yaz answered, "Your kindness is killing us."
"KKKKKKIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!" Kenji emphasized.
Sammy tried to reason, "Look, Brooklyn needs us to stay positive, so THAT is what I'm doing."
Brooklyn called out to us, "Uh guys. I'm not sure WHY we have these side conversations, whispering and such, because I can hear EVERY word." She THEN turns to Sammy and tells her, "Sammy, your kindness...it's creeping ME out as well."
Sammy looked at her confused. Kenji emphasized again, "KKKKKIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG!"
Sammy put her hand on his face and pushed him to the ground, and then said, "But I was just tryna—"
"I know, I know, you're just trying to help," Brooklyn tells her, "But you're freaking ALL of us out. I HONESTLY thought I was hallucinating when you were acting like this. Wait, maybe I AM hallucinating. Are YOU guys seeing floating fairies too?" We all looked in that direction.
I quickly realized what it was, "The Parasaurolophuses. From the caves!" We hid behind a log.
Back in the jungle, Darius and Ben were looking for Bumpy. Darius was yelling out her name hoping that would get her attention. Ben told him to shut up, "Shut up! Do you want the Scorpius to hear you?" He looked at a bush. "Bumpy's close. You can tell by the—"
"Drool. Yeah I get it."
"This was our very first berry patch that we tried together. She ALWAYS used to come to here. And whenever she is done here, she goes to the waterfall," Ben tells Darius.
Darius says, "Okay then, let's head on to the waterfall." Ben shushes Darius and he heard footsteps. They both hide behind a tree. Darius asks, "Scorpius?"
Ben answered, "No. It's steps aren't that heavy. I think its—" The dinosaur revealed itself. "BUMPY!!!!" Ben runs over to her and has her in his arms, with full excitement of seeing her again.
Darius joked, "I guess yelling her name DID work. Glad you're okay, girl. We were worried. Now lets head back before—"
"I, uh...I'm not going with you," Ben tells him.
Darius didn't understand what Ben meant, "Okay fine. You can stay mad at me. I'll stay ten paces behind you. Cool? Doesn't matter HOW we get to the boat, only that we just GET there."
Ben explains what he means, "No. I'm not leaving the island."
Darius got confused, "Wait a second. The thought of almost dying might still be on my mind distracting me. I'm pretty sure you said, you're NOT leaving the island?"
"I'm not." Ben answered. "I thought about it."
Darius thought it was about some thing else, "Ugh this again. Ben, Bumpy FITS on the boat and Bumpy is WITH us right now. Ergo, boat time for ALL of us. Lets go."
Ben stopped, "It was never just about Bumpy. It's about me too. I NEED to stay."
Darius got REALLY confused, "Ben, that's crazy. You NEED to go home."
"THIS IS MY HOME!" Ben yelled, "I'm happy here. I got Bumpy. I got grubs. I got the thick jungle air. What more could I want?"
"Hand sanitizer for starters," Darius answered, "Ben, I know for a FACT that you're not thinking straight."
"How, Darius?" Ben asked, "How could YOU possibly know this wouldn't be the right decision? How could YOU possibly know THIS isn't what's best for me?"
"Because I KNOW how much you care for Bumpy. You can't let her go, so you're making rash decisions!" Darius answered, "And have you ever thought about what's best for your MOM? She's living in pain at home that her child is dead. And if our parents see us come back, I'm gonna have to tell her that YOU decided to stay. And YOU'RE mom is gonna cry herself to sleep every night knowing you made that decision. She'd rather have you dead than hear that you decided to stay on a killer dino island!"
Ben tried to reason, "I'm more me than I've EVER been on this island. A new version of me. I have changed."
Darius REALLY started getting impatient and angry now, "You'll never make it."
"Well why don't you trust me?"
"Because you're just a kid!"
"Like that matters. Heck, Bumpy and I LITERALLY defeated—"
"UGH! If I am going to hear ONE more time how YOU defeated Toro, I am going to LOSE it!"
"Well I hope you can FIND it, because we DID defeat Toro. So we can do ANYTHING!"
"This is ridiculous! I TRIED being patient but we're out of time! IT'S ALMOST SUNRISE!"
"Darius, you're not listening."
"No, YOU'RE not listening!"
"I'm sorry you're not happy with my decision, but it's not up to you. I like who I am here and I'm staying and that's final!" He walks past Darius. Darius looks at him, and tries to pull Ben towards the boat. Ben loosened the grip and pushed Darius. He quickly got up, and tried to grab Ben, but the jungle kid pushed him down.
Darius reminded him, "We blew up a gondola together. Does that not mean ANYTHING to you?"
Ben answered, "I blow stuff up all the time, that's not special."
"I'm trying to help you."
"By controlling me?" Ben tried to crawl away but Darius grabbed onto one of his legs. Ben used the other leg, and tried to kick Darius. He dodged the kicks. Then, Ben tackled Darius and lied him on his back. His hand formed into a fist and was raised into the air.
"I'm not abandoning you again!" Ben stopped what he was about to do. Bumpy was walking somewhere. Ben and Darius followed her. The small blue herbivore led them to a herd of adult Ankylosaurus.

HorrorI have written this story before. But over time, I have become a better author, so I will be rewriting this story in a better way. This is all from my perspective as I made myself as one of the characters.
