We were still waiting for them at the boat. We were taking turns keeping watch. It was now Brooklyn's and my turn so we both stood up at the deck and kept watch. I saw Brooklyn lost in her mind. I couldn't help but ask, "What are you thinking about?"
Brooklyn answered, "Something that happened earlier. BEFORE the Scorpius came and knocked me out."
I knew what she was talking about, "Does it have something to do with...Darius by any chance?"
"I..." Brooklyn hesitated to answer, but she let it out, "I told him how I felt. And I waited for his response."
"Yeah, I saw what happened."
"Oh. He said he didn't want me. He said that if I took THAT long to tell him, then that means it was just an 'in the moment' thing."
"Yes, I saw that too," I told her, "I talked to him about it."
"Well, what did he say?"
"He didn't really say anything." I debated on whether or not to tell her that Darius didn't want anything bad to happen to her. I decided to not tell her. "But I think he understood what I was trying to say. He's probably gonna change his mind later on because we all know that he cares for you."
"I mean, as we got closer, it would be weird if only I were the one to feel something and not HIM. Maybe he did?"
I began debating whether or not I should tell her again. This time, I decided that I should tell her, "Oh um, Brooklyn? When I talked to Darius about it, he looked at me with fear in his eyes. So, I think he only held you back because he didn't want anything bad to happen to you." She looked at me with confusion. "Like, if he SAID that he liked you, and you were quilled and on the verge to death, then wouldn't Darius feel WORSE then he did when he got the antidote back?"
"I guess you have a point. Should I like...tell him about it?"
I thought about it, and then advised, "I think it's best you don't. If you do, then he would probably feel MORE guilty. So I think you should wait until he opens up or something."
"Yeah you're right."
I ALSO advised, "Also remember that you've been through MORE with him than ANYONE ELSE has. And he's STILL gonna stay friends with all of us. Including you."
Brooklyn nodded. "Should we wake the others up?"
"Sure," I replied. We woke everyone up and we all stood on the deck waiting for them.
Kenji commented, "Well, it's sunrise."
"We're NOT leaving them here," Brooklyn said firmly.
"I never said we were," Kenji replied. Right after he said that, we heart rustles in the bushes. We thought it was them. We left the island.
Darius and Ben broke through the bushes and realized that the boat wasn't there. "We're too late," Darius thought out loud. They walked back into the island. Eventually, a black figure jumped in front of them. Another one jumped BEHIND them. They both looked forward and backward and thought they were hallucinating. But they weren't. There were two. It seemed like the two monstrous predators attacked each other, giving Darius and Ben the chance to escape. They both sat in a limo that they found somewhere nearby and they were going through a stampede. Once it was over, they both got out of the limo.
Ben asked, "HOW ARE THERE TWO OF THAT THING?"
Darius answered scientifically, "Well, since dinosaurs can reproduce asexually, they can—"
"I never meant scientifically, but thanks," Ben replied, "The only thing worse than ONE psycho dinosaur is two." They both started thinking what to do. Ben thought, "Well, it doesn't seem like they both like each other, so maybe they would just tear each other apart?"

HorrorI have written this story before. But over time, I have become a better author, so I will be rewriting this story in a better way. This is all from my perspective as I made myself as one of the characters.
