Everyone started freaking out about what to do. Darius came and sat down by Brooklyn to see how she's doing, "Brooklyn? Brooklyn." No answer.
I came by, "Darius. The quills are poisonous, we gotta take them out of her." I gave the count down, and we pulled them out. Brooklyn screamed in pain. I took a bandage roll and covered the area that was bleeding. Darius tried calling her again, but she passed out. We looked at her for a minute at most. She still didn't seem to be moving. "Taking out the quills wasn't enough," I pointed out, "The poison is already in her system, she needs an antidote."
Kenji commented, "Yeah, sure. An antidote. That'll be really easy to find considering NO ONE knew this thing existed."
Ben asked, "Maybe the medical supply station has something?"
"Doubt it. Kenji's right," I began losing hope, "The Scorpius wasn't supposed to EVER get out."
That was when Sammy seemed like she recalled something, "The video in Dr. Wu's old lab! He was attacked by the Scorpius and they were giving him this shot from some red vial, I THINK they said antidote. I'm not—"
"Where is this lab?" Darius asked.
Sammy gave him the map where they marked the place, "Near the raptor paddock."
Darius looked at the map, then he looked beyond the fence with determination streaming through his body. Finally, he ordered, "Take care of Brooklyn until I get back."
I yelled, "Wait, Darius, the Scorpius went that way!"
"I don't care what's out there! I got one chance to save her and I will NOT fail again!" he began running.
Kenji stated, "He's crazy."
I agreed, "What did you expect from him? It's BROOKLYN that he's saving not anyone ELSE."
Ben commented, "I still don't understand the whole thing with Darius and Brooklyn."
I scoffed at him, "Never mind."
Sammy said, "We still have to find a way to help him, somehow."
I said, "Okay, think. What do we know so far about this dinosaur?"
Kenji ridiculously answers, "It's straight up terrifying. It climbs. It breathes like a pug with a cold. And it moves weird."
Sammy looked at the tree, "When the lightning hit that tree—"
"It didn't run FROM it, it went TOWARDS it, almost like it was hypnotized for a sec," I began to recall. I started to think of a plan, "That's how we'll clear a path for Darius. Only OUR explosion will have to be better, bigger, louder, firier."
"I'm in," Ben volunteered, "I know the jungle better than ANYONE. Plus, bigger, louder, firier. Those are all my favorite words. Try to keep up." He began running.
Yaz asked me, "You DO know if this plan's a complete long shot, right?"
I answered, "Yeah. But we have to try, right?"
"Good luck." I left with Ben, leaving Yaz, Sammy, and Kenji taking care of Brooklyn.
Darius kept running. "Hang on, Brooklyn. Just hang on." He runs a bit forward and finds a river in front of him. He groans. But attempts to jump over it. He misses and falls into the river. He was able to get up, and he grabs onto a vine and climbs it to get out of the water. He crawled on the other side and sat down, trying to catch his breath. In the mean time, he remembers something from the past:
Flashback:
Brooklyn: I managed to get all the mud off. Which is all I can say with these fingernails. Never a dull day at Camp Cretaceous, right?
Darius doesn't answer.
Brooklyn: Hey, what's up?
Darius: I thought I knew everything about dinosaurs, but it turns out I only messed up today. [sighs] I just wanted...
Brooklyn: People to like you?
Darius: Yeah. Seems like we have that in common.
Brooklyn: Well, tomorrow's a new day. And thanks to you, I have a new video to show the Brooklanders. So I'm gonna edit it and post, later dino-nerd.
Flashback ends:
After that, he gets more confidence to keep going. He found a sign that pointed different direction. One of them pointed to his left and said Raptor Paddock. Then he recalled what Sammy told him. "Near the raptor paddock." Darius uses that and follows to where it pointed to the raptor paddock.

HorrorI have written this story before. But over time, I have become a better author, so I will be rewriting this story in a better way. This is all from my perspective as I made myself as one of the characters.
