"They're not our mission," Wu tells Hawkes. He hesitated, but decided to fly away. We all met in the trees.

I told Brooklyn, "Sorry the rescue didn't go well like I thought it would."

Brooklyn chuckles, "It never does. But somehow, it always turns out."

Kenji turned to Darius, "Listen. Don't feel bad about stealing the laptop. I get it, you just wanted Brooklyn back safe. So, we good?"

Darius thought about what he said. He said "YOU" not "WE." Indicating that he didn't care so much. "No. We're not. Unlike you, I don't unnecessarily take risks with friends lives."

I walked up to Darius, "Look, I had nothing else to do. It hurt ME to leave her back, too. But I had to. I'm sorry, I couldn't think of something to get her out AND manage to deal with the laptop. Just like you, I ALSO wanted to get Brooklyn back safe." Darius didn't respond. "If you don't feel like forgiving me yet, its alright. You can take your time."

We all began walking towards the boat. Kenji drove. I looked back at the island, the place we called home for six months. Gosh it's been THAT long? I walked back on deck. This is it. We're finally getting off. The torture of running away from dinosaurs and worrying about staying alive won't come into play anymore. We did it. It's over. We're getting off. We're going home.
