As we were walking to the boat, Ben felt a tap on his shoulder. He looked in that direction and saw Darius. "It's time," he whispered to him. Ben wasn't sure what he meant, but then remembered.
Ben spoke up, "Um guys. There's something I need to tell you." Everyone looked in his direction. Ben hesitated, "I'm not...I'm not coming...with you." Everyone except Darius looked at him in shock. We weren't sure if our hearing was partly damaged because of the destruction from two minutes ago, or if he ACTUALLY said that he wants to stay on this island. "I realized that...I love being here. And BOTH the Scorpius's are gone now. So I'll be okay. This is what I need."
Everyone is STILL speechless. NO ONE knew what to say. "I know that it sucks," Darius told us, "But he made his decision. We gotta respect that. He became a new version of himself on the island. He's worried that if he goes back, he'll loose it." Understanding that, we continued walking to the boat, but we slowed down. If this is the last time we're gonna see Ben, we might as well use every second of it. Eventually, we made it to the boat.
Ben said, "I guess this is it."
"Are you sure this is what you really want?" Brooklyn asked.
Kenji added on, "Yeah man. After everything that happened, it's pretty crazy that you don't wanna leave."
"Yeah I know it feels that way. But BOTH the Scorpius's are gone now. I'll be okay," Ben reassured. We all pulled Ben in for one final hug, considering we're not going to see him anymore. Eventually, we broke up, and walked towards the boat. Kenji waited for the command to say that we're ready. As the boat was departing, we yelled to Ben our final goodbyes. Ben walked back on the island. But, he came to a realization, I may have changed and become a new version of me on the island. No one said that I can't take it to some place else. And if I lose it, they'll be there for me. If I feel like I'm having a hard time, my friends will be there for me! With that, he ran towards the boat. "Guys!" He yelled as loud as he could, "Guys! Wait guys! Wait up! I was just kidding! Wait up!"
I saw Ben rushing his way to the boat, "Kenji! Stop the boat!" Ben dived into the ocean and began swimming towards the boat. He caught up to the boat and was able to get on.
"I realized that I may have found myself a new version of me on the island. But I can take my new-self with me and if I have a hard time, you guys will be there for me." Everyone smiled. He got the point. "You don't look surprised to see me."
Brooklyn chuckled, "We knew you'd change your mind."
Kenji didn't want to waste another second, "Alright now. Let's leave this dang island once and for all." He began driving, but a few seconds later, we saw headlights flashed at us.
A woman was yelling, "Kids! Stop the yacht! Drive back onto the island."
"Who are these guys?"

HorrorI have written this story before. But over time, I have become a better author, so I will be rewriting this story in a better way. This is all from my perspective as I made myself as one of the characters.
