At the lab, Hawkes grabs Brooklyn by her arm, and brings her outside. Dr. Wu was the first and only one to recognize her, "You. You and the other campers. You never made it off the island?"
Brooklyn answered, "Oh you know. Just happened to enjoy death and destruction."
Hawkes comes in, "Hate to break the reunion, but her friends stole the laptop. Watch her!" He runs into the jungle to find her friends.
Me, Yaz, and Kenji were still running to look for the others. We thought we were completely lost until we heard, "Because they're right here!" We followed the voice and found the others. We all met in the middle.
"I thought you all left on the chopper," I recalled.
Darius replied, "Come on. You KNOW we wouldn't leave you guys behind. Besides, we had to go through some...stuff." Everyone laughed. Darius looked for a few seconds to realize that there was someone missing. "Hold up, where's Brooklyn?" Sammy and Ben noticed too. Our heads were down, indicating that it's something bad.
At the lab, Brooklyn got bored sitting down, so she found an umbrella on the ground, and just banged it against the walls behind her. She did it gently, but it still made a loud sound. It was to make her feel less bored, but also to annoy Wu. "Must you keep doing that?" asked the scientist.
"Doing what, doc?" the pink haired girl asked, "This? *bang This? *bang This? *bang."
"It's annoying. And it's DOCTOR."
Brooklyn added MORE counterattacks, "Maybe I'll stop doing this *bang, DOCTOR, if YOU stop making MORE spawns from hell*bang, and crazy creations." She continues banging the wall behind her. Hawkes ALSO began getting annoyed so he snatched the umbrella from her.
He asks another mercenary, "Laptop?"
"Not yet."
Dr. Wu demanded, "Grab what you need. We're headed to the chopper. No matter what, we STAY on mission."
Brooklyn tried giving them less courage, "I'm pretty sure me and my squad already RUINED your little mission."
"Don't worry. They'll bring it. Because if they don't..." Hawkes added more darkness, "things won't go too well for pink-haired girls around here."
Brooklyn knew what he meant. But she'd rather die than have them receive their laptop so they can go off killing people that she cares about. But she had to find a way to escape from them. She found the same umbrella on the floor. She banged it on a table and attracted company.
In the forest, the others heard about what happened to the missing camper, "What? You LEFT her WITH them?!"
I replied, "I had to!"
Knowing I couldn't stay ANY more calmer to explain the rest, Yaz took over, "Look, Brooklyn told us to run, and we ran. We have until sunrise to return the laptop, so we'll need a plan."
Darius yelled, "Oh my god, give them the stupid laptop! Plan done!"
Yaz told him, "It's not easy."
I recalled something from before and reminded her about it, "I told you we should've just let it go! I KNEW something WAS going to go wrong because it ALWAYS does! Who the heck cares what Wu wants to make. But NOPE! We just HAD to get to the laptop while we COULD'VE been on our way to safety!"
Sammy didn't understand, "What's so important about this laptop anyway?"
Yaz explained, "It has YEARS of his research. Everything that had happened on the island, everything that went wrong, was because of his research. We can't let him make more dinos such as the Indominus or the Scorpius Rex."
"But if we DON'T give back the laptop, who knows WHAT they'll do to Brooklyn!" Darius asks. No one responded indicating that no one knew. He had a point. If we don't return the laptop, then they might put her through SEVERE consequences. She could also get killed. But if we DID return the laptop, then Dr. Wu would make even MORE crazy monstrous spawns from hell and they would hurt people that we all care about.
We had to think of a plan. We have to keep Brooklyn safe, AND give NONE of Wu's research back to him. Wait. That's it! "Of course!" I yelled, "We'll give it back AFTER we copy and wipe it. We'll keep the copied files, and give Wu the useless laptop. We get Brooklyn. Dr. Wu gets nothing. And then we can take the files to the authorities in Costa Rica!"
Yaz asked, "But HOW are we going to copy and wipe it?"
Sammy recalled, "A flash drive! I got one back from Camp Cretaceous."
Darius STILL wasn't sure, "But won't it be easier if we just return the laptop? We'll take less time, AND we'll get Brooklyn back safe."
I told him, "Fair point, but he will STILL be able to make more and end up killing EVERYONE we care about, so it's best we don't."
"Then let's do this." Everyone started walking towards the lab. Darius was still a little worried.
"Trust me Darius. This will work."
"It better," he muttered under his breath.

HorrorI have written this story before. But over time, I have become a better author, so I will be rewriting this story in a better way. This is all from my perspective as I made myself as one of the characters.
