I am so so so sorry for not updating sooner. But I've been a little busy. I've written most of my book and now its just a matter of revising and publishing. So don't worry, it shouldn't be too long before the next chapter. Also sorry, no picture and the really bad chapter title. But I've already seen the entire cast of my book. And well, I suck at thinking of chapter titles. But I do hope you enjoy the actual chapter!
"Of course I wanna go! Like I said, I'm over him!" Kat exclaimed.
"Still think he's stupid, but I'm over him." She added.
"Yay! I'm so excited. Maybe I can meet my prince charming!" Eve began daydreaming.
"Yeah, because drunk and stupid make such a good combination for a prince charming."
"Shut up Beth, why can't you let me dream? Now that you have Isaac, I'm all alone!" Eve whined.
"A. I don't have Isaac. And B. you don't need a guy to complete you, Eve."
"Ugh I know, but I would like to know what it feels like. Why can't I fall in love?" She asked as she crossed her arms across her chest.
"I didn't say-"
"Beth, you're getting Evie all riled up. And Eve, you will find love, I'm sure of it. You've got a whole life ahead of you. So calm you're ish down, " Kat assured her.
"Now let's move on to more pressing matters, shall we?" We both nodded in reply.
"What are we going to wear?" she asked excitedly.
"Oh I don't know, clothes?"
"You know what, Beth? Your sarcasm is not welcomed here."
"Pssht, whatever. My sarcasm is always welcomed. Also, Chase's party is just like any other party. Just wear whatever you wear to a regular party."
"Do you know that for sure?"
"Well, no but-"
"Ah ha!"
"Fine, I'll text him and find out."
******
"It's a pool party." I said, hating to admit that I was wrong.
"Ha! And you said it was a regular party."
"Okay, I'm sorry. I'm only human, Kat." Almost instantly Eve took off, mindlessly singing Human by Christina Perri.
"I've got to go. See ya later." I told them, getting up from Eve's bed. I noticed Eve and Kat exchange glances, but I ignored it.
Noah was using the car so I grabbed a taxi and headed to the hospital. I walked through the door to see Holly quietly reading a book.
"Hey!" She looked up and her eyes lit up, probably happy to have company. After my last visit, she looked like a huge weight had been lifted from her.
"How's it going?" She asked in a friendly tone.
"Just the usual-" I stopped because I saw her attention had shifted to something behind me.
"Holly, what are you looking at-" I followed her and saw him standing in the doorway. He wore the exact same shocked expression as me. My heart jumped to a million beats per second. I got up so fast that I almost fell back into my chair.
"Whoa, head rush," I said out loud.
"Isaac!" Holly squealed! He briefly looked at me and then brushed past me and hugged her, being careful not to touch her anywhere near her ribs.
